Great for teaching phonics!

The year before this came out, I was making boxes with scrabble-like letter tiles in order to help my second grade students visualize retention in Spelling. Then this product came out! Multi-and-single-letter phonograms (on a MAGNET)! Dreamy! This cut back on time wasted looking for the correct phonogram and the best win is that my students LOVE using their trays. It keeps them engaged as they build each word, and the scores prove this helps their long-term retention! I always look forward to seeing what Hand2Mind comes out with!

I used these letters with All About Spelling level 1. That seemed to work well, but I don’t know how well they work with the other levels. I agree with the other reviewers who say they are good quality and value for the price. I did have a little difficulty getting some of them out of the frames they were in. I used the frames for teaching basic multiplication facts.

Our school district recently adopted UFLI. It is a fantastic program however, you do have to make your blending boards. It can be a lot of work. I decided to look and see what I could find that maybe helpful to me and that’s when I stumbled upon these. I am familiar with Hand2Mind and love the products I currently teach with. As I was looking these up, I noticed that they had a lot of the vowel teams that dip songs and many other letters that could be used. Each pack comes in its own individual Ziploc bag and you have everything you need to go on the blending board and the colors match almost perfectly. I would highly recommend these for anybody who needs to make blending boards, but does not have the time to create them themselves.
