This thing is tiny - not much bigger than a credit card in surface area.I used the supplied USB 3 cables to connect it to a PC and a MacBook Pro so that they could share a keyboard and mouse.I had no issues - both computers were detected whilst plugged in and the mouse (Logitech wireless) and keyboard (Logitech USB wired) worked immediately. I've not noticed any input lag.I did not need to add external power, but worth noting that no cable was supplied here, so if you are intending to run something power hungry (camera etc) you'll likely need to order a cable for that. The switch has a green light for PC1 and a blue one for PC2, so you can tell at a glance which computer has access to the USB devices.Switching seems fairly instant but you will need to wait for the operating systems to detect the USB devices and enable them. No switch is going to overcome that for you, so there may be a delay of a couple of seconds before a device becomes active. That's not an issue for me as I don't intend to keep rapidly switching.The unit is very light, so you may need to consider using something to stick it down, although I haven't in my setup. All in all, I'm quite glad I got this as I've managed to consolidate my sprawling IT kit into one area which has please my wife no end.

Using this to share an external keyboard, Jabra headset and wireless mouse between my work laptop (locked down Windows) and my own Linux Mint Box underneath it. Doesn't require the external micro-usb power connection unless you are attaching a high power consumption device (something like an external HDD drive perhaps?).Does what it says on the tin. Unit is about the size of a pack of playing cards.

Overall has lasted me a good few months, but it always seems to turn off for a few seconds randomly.Don't know why, I thought buying a plug and putting it into the mains would help. But it didn't.Maybe mine is faulty?

this product is perfect I use it on a Mac and pc combo have my webcam, mouse, microphone and keyboard connected and so easy to switch between devices with middle on this device, added bonus for was no power needed as connected all my usbs with usb 3.0, would recommend this product A*

Worked great when I bought it, but recently it just stops working all together for a couple of seconds. I'm often on work calls and the device disconnects the headset, keyboard and mouse for a few seconds, then it resumes. This happens in both machines, so it's not a machine issue but definitely a device issue. All of the connected devices have been there from day 1, so I'm ruling out conflicts too. It was cheap and functional for a while, but doesn't stand the test of time.

Comes with 2 USB 3.0 cables which is great, but doesn't come with a micro USB cable to power the switch on. A bit of an oversight. If you don't have one spare, factor that into the purchase. Shame that being the "updated" version that it isn't USB-C powered.Function wise, it's a switch, hard to get wrong.

The item has enabled me to use one keyboard and mouse across 2 PC's very easily. Great item and seller communication is spot on. I received a message advising that if I have any issues to contact the seller and advising on warranty information
