Nothing compares for plaster, filler, plastics or fine finishing wood. The durability of these discs is unbelievable compared to paper backed ones, they are way more cost effective despite the up-front unit cost. The finish achieved is finer and tighter. Only area not so good is rapid bulk removal, for this I use trend zirconium discs...the purple ones.

...you should know that they are marvellous but continued use of the metal in these pads heats up under pressure and eventually softens the glue of any backing pad, causing the grip to burn and wear out (on the backing pad part of the sander) and it will wear it out far faster than any paper discs, also if youre buying for Festool (or one of the others) they work great but your guarantee will be invalid if you say you've been using these instead of their approved paper ones (applies to most brands, not just Festool). Still, I use 'em and find its cheaper to buy backing pads as well! I guess I'm just really bored this evening.

Mirka disc sanders take all the labour out of preparing a surface ready for painting. You can rapidly sand a whole room in a fraction of the time it would take to toil by hand! These 80 Grit discs are durable and function well.

Ces disques abrasifs Mirka Abranet sont d’excellente qualité. Le grain P80 enlève bien la matière sans s’user trop vite, et le système maillé réduit fortement l’encrassement. Aucune poussière si utilisé avec une Deros sous aspiration. La fixation autoagrippante tient parfaitement, et la compatibilité avec mon plateau Ø150 mm est impeccable. Très bon produit, surtout à ce prix — largement plus avantageux que ceux vendus en GSB.
