These are very good humidifiers I purchased one from Lowes & One from Amazon in 2009 still works .Fans are louder now about wore out I use these a lot ,Alaska is dry I use them every night in winter.Keep them clean & filters changed and they work well.I have tried a lot of Humidifiers this one beats them all.Sometimes you need to wet the filters again in between changes.Getting ready to purchase another from Amazon.

Best yet!
Had quite a few humidifiers over the years. This one is the best. Been using it for a month or so. Comfortably quiet for sleep, but works great. Noticed an immediate improvement in room humidity. Air comes out at the bottom, so it does help to elivate it. We have it positioned about 6-inches off the floor. It is very easy to refill with water and the top handle makes carrying the tank back to the unit dripless. Would highly recommend.

Does its purpose, but minor adjustments are needed.
Our air is very arid and our last humidifier was just not cutting it. I also wanted something that was easy to clean, I am busy enough without adding another daily cleaning routine like some humidifiers I have found. Pros - Puts lots of water in the air. I refill the tank twice a day, I could do more, but if I keep on an every 12 hour schedule I do not forget to fill it. - Comparability Quiet - I run on full humidity level and full fan. There is a moderate to low noise from the fan, but nothing like my last. When on low fan I barely hear it. - Slim. I have lots crammed into our house, this took the last available place. I like that I do not need to set this on our wood furniture and potentially ruin it. - Easy to operate. I never read the manual till after something is setup, probably the kid in me wanting to play with the new toy. It came all setup and ready to go. I just filled the tank, plugged it in, and turned it on. Cons - The water tank has a curved top. With a 1 year old I like to start a task and walk away for a bit. This requires you to balance the water tank or stand there and hold it. - Does not auto shut off. I am not sure if this is a feature to keep bacteria from growing, but it took me a bit to realize it did not auto shut off. Using a regular fill schedule gets around this though. - The water tank is a bit awkward to place on the tower. It sits above the filter and the UV light goes on the outside of the filter . You have to tilt the tank and slide it in place. Sometimes it catches, but after only a week I seem to get the tank on pretty easy now.

DANGER, WILL ROBINSION! DANGER!
The Honeywell HCM-300T has a few problems. One of them is fatal. Let's start with the worst of it: It sometimes leaks, dumping a a gallon and a half of water onto your floor. We ran the unit without problems for three straight days. After refilling the tank, we left the room and came back a half hour later to find it empty, and the water that was in the tank all over our living room floor. The tank appeared to be seated properly, the wick/filter was installed correctly. We don't know what happened. Other problems: 1. The unit only holds 1.5 gallons, not the 3 gallons stated in the listing. 2. The unit can not be easily moved once it is running. Moving the unit causes water to spill into the fan and onto the floor. 3. The unit is top-heavy. If you have dogs or children, or both, you will want to think about having a tank of water crashing to the floor in the event of an accidental bump. 4. The fan is small, runs fast, and makes a bit of noise. About as loud as an electric can opener. 5. It doesn't move that much air. At an ambient RH of 25%, it takes over 12 hours to disperse 1.5 gallons (the unit's real capacity). 6. Refilling the tank is a PITA. You turn it upside down to fill it, and the top isn't flat, so it won't sit flat in the sink. You have to hold it while it fills and then again while you futz around trying to get the lid back on. 7. Reinstalling the water tank after refilling isn't easy, either. You have to be very careful or the bottom of the tank will crush the filter/wick. It's a bit of an obstacle course to get the tank to seat properly. 8. It isn't made by, or sold by Honeywell. It's made by Kaz, Inc. Honeywell licenses their name to Kaz. Humidifiers have been around for a very long time. Why can't someone design one that is simple, functional, attractively designed and long-lived? We wanted to like the Honeywell HCM-300T, but after our experience with it, we strongly suggest that you look elsewhere when considering a purchase.

Humidifier does its job. Is slightly loud on high, I keep it on slow or medium to keep the noise down. Still works great on lower speeds. Lots of water storage. I put a small plank under it because it sits at the top of my stairs on carpet. Don't think it would ruin the carpet if I removed the plank.

Is not as quiet as I thought it would be, but we don't have it in a sleeping area so it is not an issue. I like how easy it is to refill the water container and have found it very effective in maintaining the humidity range that we desire in a 1,000 square foot area. The humidifier does automatically shut off when the set humidity level is reached and stays off until the humidity drops to the lower set humidity level is reached. Easy to clean and is well constructed.

It is quiet. Only problem i find is i am filling it 2/3 times a day. My home air must be a lot drier than I thought.

Bad it makes noise like hell, worked fine for the first 4 weeks, then started making a noise and disturbs every person in the family. Honeywell should make the proper arrangements to fix this.

This thing works great. Before we got it the cats were all static. After we ran it overnight on full, no static on the cats at all. We now have it on 2 of 4 humidity and lowest fan speed and we're just fine. If you smoke or have a smoker in the house then be prepared to clean the filter more often. I would highly recommend getting this if you need a humidifier.
