Let me save you a lot of time and money.... I have tried the Anker Boom's in various guises, the JBL Charge 6, and the JBL Extreme 4. Only the JBLs come close in terms of overall package, but even the Charge 6 is still more expensive the Stormbox Lava. The JBLs have higher clarity and clear mids out of the box but they all lack low punch particularly when using them outside - which is where I wanted to use my speaker... for those BBQ and pizza-making days. I did back-to-back comparisons with them all. Testing a variety of music genres, and using the devices indoors and out. I really love the guttural punch from the Tribit, and I prefer the subtle looks - no silly LEDs here. For my ears I've dialled in a custom EQ over the last month that suits my ears and my Jazz-fusion go-to music taste. I now have cleaner more prominent highs with a complimentary bass fill which makes the soundstage balanced. I've included pictures of the EQ settings in case you want to copy them. Just remember to add X-bass first, then build the EQ, as it saves it all as one element. Go ahead and enjoy it. It's a bargain, and a super bit of kit that has incredible battery life.... and if you do buy one, you'll save around £120 compared to the JBL Extreme 4 which is the only item that came close, but pound-for-pound.... Tribit for the win!

Liked this so much, I bought another! Great alternative to the more pricey JBL Extreme 4! Sometimes have a bit of trouble getting into stereo mode, but with perseverance you get there! Sound wise they rock! Depending on placement you get different base frequencys! Really like, would of been great if you could change battery for future proofing, like the JBL's! But price dictates!

Excellent sound quality, not too big or heavy but sturdy and well built

I don't tend to write many reviews, but this one i necessary as much for the customer service as the product itself. TL;DR the product is excellent and amazing value for money, essentially like all Tribit products it sounds excellent, works really well, and performs far better than the price you pay. I have multiple products of theirs for use in different places around and outside of the house and work and they have all been great purchases. This time, there was a slight issue with the rubber encasing on one of the sides of the speaker, so that when the bass was kicking, there was a slight rattle - nothing looked broken, so probably just one of those things that happens when making thousands of a product, one part doesn't get made to the exact requirements like the others. So, I needed to contact them for the first time and assumed I'd get the standard service that most manufacturers give these days, thinking I'd spend ages on a chatbot, etc. However, on contacting Tribit (via email, as they suggest), they responded almost immediately and had some suggestions for a fix. While those didn't fix it, in the next email they immediately said they would replace it and within 12 hours had already dispatched a replacement to me. No quibbling, speedy responses, polite and courteous - everything customer service should be. I really love the speaker so am delighted I'm getting a replacement, but for anyone worried about buying it as they don't know of Tribit, I thought I'd share my experiences. Would highly recommend.

So I was in the market for a mid sized bass heavy Bluetooth speaker, not too pricey (JBL league) but within reason. A lot of searches and reviews on YouTube flagged this speaker as bass heavy and with great sound so I bought it. Now I own the UE hyper boom, have tried the soundcore boom 2 (which would probably be the better pick here but I needed to see another brand can ably compete against soundcore) and the motion plus ( which is really impressive for its size. Sad they don't make it anymore). Am an audiophile and like bass, but also good detail and we'll out together sound. The lava indeed as great bass, as everyone says. Problem is, the bass is more pronounced when listening from the sides of the speaker as opposed to directly Infront of it (dono why). Second issue is, the bass is absolutely amaazi6up to about 40% volume or so. 60 and above....it fizzles out and your just getting mids and highs. Out of the box, the eq is crap. I had to Google search a lot of eqs to finally tune it to something that fits me and even then, I felt the highs over powered the mids somehow. Generally, the sound didn't feel out together well. Was great. Loved the built quality and the strap but had to return it as for the price, it just hadn't met my expectations.. will be getting another speaker that hopefully does that for me. That's my opinion on the lava

Zeer goede en zuivere klank top

We bought this Tribit StormBox Lava speaker for use at a shared family cabin. We are truly enjoying the speaker. Bluetooth pairing is incredibly easy and efficient. The speaker looks decent and blends in well sitting on a shelf. The strap is a bit over the top, so we have taken that off. There is a small handle which works just fine. The sound really is very good. There is an option to turn on or off the enhanced bass feature. Battery life seems to be real good, though we've never timed how long it lasts or how long it takes to charge. We got the item on sale which made the purchase quite enjoyable. Tribit has a decent support system. They also have an app through which you can make equalizer settings. The app gets mixed reviews. We are satisfied with the settings right out of the box. Overall, this is a very good speaker, and we recommend it.

Bwahaha! This is some serious BASS that goes to 11. You can literally feel the vibration with the Xbass on inside a room especially with certain tracks like "Animals" by Martin Garrix, and I swear it causes some stuff inside my room to vibrates as well. Soundwise it's descent quality though I haven't played around with the EQ yet for other delicate tracks as I bought this for the BASS. The BASS will get reduced if you are outside or listening at higher volume, but that is kinda expected. 11/10

Ich habe bereits viele Bluetooth-Lautsprecher besessen und verglichen. Dieser hier ist einer der Besten was Leistung in Bezug auf die Größe des Lautsprechers betrifft. Er ist nicht der lauteste, aber kein andere geht so tief im Bass. Lieferung: Der Lautsprecher kommt in einer für Tribit typischen Kartonage mit gelbem Druck. Als Zubehör legt Tribit einen verstellbaren Tragegurt und einen Griff ähnlich dem Bose Soundlink Max bei. Beides ist von recht guter Qualität und wirkt langlebig. Haptik: Der Lautsprecher wirkt sehr gut verarbeitet. Der Stoffbezug ist fest und ausreichend stark, der Gummifuß wirkt haltbar und die Anschlusskappe dürfte gut abdichten. Trotzdem hätte der Gummifuß aus einem geschlossenen Ring gefertigt werden können, dass würde das Risiko das sicher Ring an den Kanten ablöst minimieren. Wasserdichte Anschlüsse an der Rückseite wären in der heutigen Zeit tauglicher als eine Schutzkappe, dass ist aber vermutlich wegen dem Klinkeneingang nicht möglich. Weiters wären die beiden Metallbügel zum Einhängen der Tragehilfe besser nicht dunkel gefärbt. Durch die Reibung der Karabiner wird sich die Beschichtung mit der Zeit ablösen. Und zuletzt wäre es toll, wenn die beiden Seiten nicht aus Hartplastik, sondern aus Silikon/Gummi bestehen würden. All diese Punkte sind aber keine Katastrophe, sondern wären nur von mir gewünschte Änderungen. Das Gewicht ist übrigens mit etwas über 2,2 Kilo relativ hoch, aber noch tragbar. Der Lautsprecher wirkt zudem auf den Fotos etwas kleiner als in Realität. Akku: Gemessen wurden bei einer Vollladung rund 50Wh, es dürfte sich also vermutlich etwa um 45Wh nutzbare Kapazität handeln. Das ist deutlich weniger als eine Xtreme 4 (fast 70Wh) liefert und minimal besser als bei der Boom 2 (38Wh). Klang: Ich bin keine Audiophiler Mensch, ich höre was mir gefällt, so auch bei Lautsprechern. Daher sind meine Eindrücke nur subjektiv und ohne Messung gestützt! Der Lautsprecher kling je nach verwendeten EQ sehr unterschiedlich. Der Standard-EQ ist eher dunkel abgestimmt, was mir nicht so gut gefällt. Stellt man einen flachen EQ ein, dann klingt der Speaker überraschender Weise auch recht flach. Das kann zu Beginn etwas abgestumpft klingen, wenn man einen Badewannen-EQ-Sound gewohnt ist. Aber der Lautsprecher hat ordentlich Reserven in vielen Frequenzbereichen. Vielleicht etwas weniger im Mitten- und oberen Bass-Bereich, aber absolut ausreichend. Der Bass geht wirklich recht tief für die Größe des Lautsprechers, dass geht aber auf Kosten von einem verringerten Bass in mittleren und oberen Frequenzen und den tieferen Mitten. In Summe klingt der Lautsprecher aber sehr gut und lässt sich vermutlich auf nahezu jeden Geschmack mit dem EQ einstellen. Trotzdem hat man immer leicht das Gefühl, dass irgend ein Frequenzbereich etwas zu kurz kommt. Ich konnte das noch nicht mit dem EQ komplett lösen. Ich denke, es ist irgendwo ein Loch im Frequenzbereich, welchen die beiden Treiber nicht komplett abdecken. Das ist aber nicht tragisch, denn der Lautsprecher ist in Summe für mich trotzdem das Beste Gerät in der 2 Kilo-Klasse, vor allem wenn man den Preis bedenkt. Vergleich mit anderen Geräten: Ich habe den Lautsprecher mit einem JBL Xtreme 4, einem Soundcore Boom 2 und dem UBoom X verglichen. Der Vergleich mit der UBoom X habe ich nur deshalb gemacht, weil die angegebene Leistung vergleichbar ist. Mehr ist dazu aber eigentlich nicht zu schreiben, da die UBoom X größer/schwerer ist und dadurch in einer komplett anderen Liga spielt. Mit dem EQ von Oluv ist die UBoom X etwas besser was die Auflösung betrifft. Wenn einem das Gewicht von über 4 Kilo nicht stört, würde ich immer die UBoom X vorziehen. Bass und Lautstärke sind ebenfalls etwas besser als bei der Tribit-Box. Zudem sind die 30€ Aufpreis zur UBoom X nicht die Welt. Im Vergleich zur Xtreme 4 klingt die Stormbox Lava heller, aber weniger Präsent im Upper-Bass und Mittenbereich. Hier kommt es wohl darauf an was einem persönlich zusagt. Mir gefällt die Xtreme 4 deutlich besser, da sie komplette im Klang wirkt. Der Bass der Lava geht etwas tiefer und die Höhen sind nicht so spitz. Es ist nahezu unmöglich die beiden Lautsprecher mit dem EQ so anzupassen, dass beide etwa gleich klingen. Die Stormbox Lava lässt sich außerdem deutlich stärker im Klang durch den EQ verändern als es bei der Xtreme 4 möglich ist. Vorteil der Xtreme 4 ist der tauschbare Akku. Für mich ist die Lava der bessere Lautsprecher, wenn man den Preis betrachtet. Ansonsten kommt es auf die persönliche Vorliebe an. Badewannen-EQ-Liebhaber (welche in den letzten Jahren immer populärer geworden sind) werden mit der Lava glücklicher sein, den kompletteren Sound liefert aber der Xtreme 4. Leider betrachten viele Leute einen vollen Sound mittlerweile als muffig oder dumpf. Am schwierigsten ist für mich der Vergleich zur Soundcore Boom 2. Die Boom 2 ist derzeit mein liebster Spaß-Lautsprecher, da dieser recht leicht ist und für die Größe einen wirklich guten Bassdruck abliefert. Bei der Boom 2 habe ich aber immer das Gefühl, dass der Mittenbereich lückenhaft ist und immer etwas fehlt. Selbst mit dem wirklich guten Oluv-EQs lässt sich das nicht komplett beheben. Zudem hält der Akku auf höherer Lautstärke nicht sehr lange und der Lautsprecher wirkt durch den Plastikgriff billig. Außerdem hat die Boom 2 keinen echten Stereo-Klang, sondern nur zwei Hochtöner aber nur einen Tief/Mitteltöner. Bei der Stormbox Lava ist der Akku etwas besser, der Bass tiefer (bei aber geringerem Druck) und die Haptik deutlich hochwertiger. Die Box klingt zudem auch deutlich breiter mit echtem Stereo. Hier gewinnt die Stormbox Lava in allen Bereichen, außer der Portabilität, dem Bassdruck und vielleicht der Lichtshow (wenn das Jemanden kaufentscheidend ist). Trotzdem bleibt die Boom 2 nach wie vor mein "überallhin"-Lautsprecher wo es nicht auf beste Soundqualität ankommt, da diese doch deutlich leichter und auch kompakter ist als die Stormbox Lava. Zudem erzeugt die Boom 2 bei Leuten immer wieder einen Wow-Effekt wenn man das erste Mal den Bassdruck aus dieser doch recht kleinen Box hört. Bleibt noch zu sagen, dass die Lava und die Boom 2 für mich nicht direkt vergleichbar sind, da die Lava doch um rund 30% schwerer ist und auch ein deutlich höheres Volumen hat als die Boom 2. So ist jeder der beiden Lautsprecher in seiner Klasse für mich das derzeit beste Gerät am Markt wenn man den Preis miteinbezieht. Für den Preis von rund 90€ macht man mit beiden nichts verkehrt! Wer einen möglichst kompletten Sound mit vollen Mitten bevorzugt, würde ich die Xtreme 4 mehr ans Herz legen. Der UVP ist aber massiv überteuert. Im Angebot ist dir Xtreme 4 aber eine Überlegung wert.
