We wanted sturdy, folding, compact chairs to carry in our 5.85mt motorhome when doing short trips away, we have lounging chairs with matching footrests for longer stays.. They had to have solid arms, recline and have a high backrest. These Timber Ridge chairs ticked all of the boxes. They are solidly made and the material seems to be hard-wearing. They came in good quality storage bags, ideal for tucking them away under the van when the weather is wet. They are on the heavy side but we don't plan on carrying them any distance. All in all, we are very happy with them.

Not really used them properly yet but they seem to be very robust and of good quality and comfortable. They are fairly heavy but I think it would still be easy to carry down to the beach say - you are not going to go hiking carrying them are you. As others have said they are quite stiff to open up first time but that seems to ease off after a few openings. There is definitely a technique to opening them up but once mastered it’s no problem - just watch the video closely and note the simultaneous outward and downward pressure applied to the front corners of the seat base. Went to look at quite a number of alternative reclining seats at a camping store today and these definitely easily match if not exceed perceived quality and comfort. These should store easily in our campervan and come with a robust bag and carrying strap. Well pleased so far and a good Black Friday discount is a bonus.

The chair folds up into a narrow bundle, making it ideal for fitting into a storage area in our motorhome. The chair is comfortable, with several reclining positions and a wide seat. It's a bit sticky to open up, but worth the effort! It feels like great quality.

Good quality chairs, bit of a knack to open and close. Even packed away they are quite big and heavy and you wouldn’t want to be carrying them far. But they are comfortable and solid and for what I want them for they are perfect, taking straight out the back of the camper, set up, sit down in comfort and open a beverage outdoors

These are very comfy. Very stiff to pull apart pack away nicely for easy transit .nice and compact .we use in our caravan so don't take up too much room .

We used these all summer in our campervan and were very pleased with them. It was important for us to have something we could store under the rear seat so conventional flat folding recliner chairs were simply out of the question. We had previously used the roll up style chairs but as a bigger guy I find these uncomfortable and they don’t recline. I wanted something more comfortable, robust and that would still recline. These were perfect. They are fairly large and heavy but not excessive. You wouldnt take them on a hike for instance, but for pulling in and out of the van they are great. They are extremely comfortable and the reclining feature is just what we wanted. The folding and unfolding mechanism takes some getting used to but once you get the nack it’s fine. We’ve only used them for one summer so longevity is still to be proven but they seem like quality so I dont see why they wouldnt last years. Overall we are really pleased. These chairs match the comfort and reclining features we wanted and were the only ones we could find that didnt just fold flat, but folded up more like a roll up chair. This was essential for us given where we needed to store them.

This is definitely a “you get what you pay for” chair. I am six foot two, and weigh around 15 stone (210 pounds), and having tried other smaller and less expensive chairs, I chose this one. Also, as I am getting on in years, I wanted something with a decent seat height – which this chair has. I primarily wanted the chair for holidays in the UK, where I would be taking the chair on the beach etc. I also knew that I would not be carrying the chair for long distances, and so the weight of the chair was not a big consideration for me. It is on the heavy side, so look at all the information provided by the manufacturer. The chair is well constructed, and feels very sturdy. It gives the impression that it will last a lifetime. I have found the chair to be very comfortable, and the recliner feature (although not something I specifically chose this chair for) works well, and is definitely something I would look for again. Although the chair has a high back, if I sit upright in the chair, my head still comes over the top. However, once reclined, I can rest my head back (and to my wife’s annoyance fall asleep). The chairs arms are not padded at all. They are robustly constructed as they are integral to the recliner feature. They are made from some kind of man-made material, which makes them easy to clean and will therefore not rust. When sat on the chair for long periods though, I found the arms to be ‘uncomfortable’. However, my wife has promised to make me some wrap-around padding for the arms, that will fasten with Velcro. Maybe something for the manufacturer to offer as an option? Overall, I would have to say that I am delighted with my purchase, and I wholeheartedly recommend this product. If, however, you are looking for a lightweight chair to go hiking with, then I would consider other options.
