What is the differnce between 50 and 100 billio?. What do these numbers really mean?

Stress, dietary indiscretions, really anything that causes inflammation kills good gut bacteria. it also has a life cycle in your gut and as it proliferates it also sloughs the old.So you need a high number of bacteria. Heavy duty probiotics such as 'vsl' brand have an insanely high number of bacteria. twice the amount than in colon care.That one is for use by people with ulcerative colitis and severe IBD.So yes these numbers are very meaningful.but also the types of bacteria chosen for colon care are synergistic or symbiotic. Many people have a good base of good bacteria residing and some people can't seem to develop a good thriving base of gut flora and have to replenish constantly. I am that person. I wasnt nursed as a child and was delivered cesarian. So my gut flors was nil. I appreciated the kind of bacteria present in this product and the high number of them.
