I've had these a while now and discovered they can give a false alarm in cold & damp conditions. The offender is fitted upstairs on the loft hatch door. The washing machine and heat pump drier had been on in the evening and some washing was draped on an airer. The bathroom had been in use for a shower. Outside was cold & damp & had been for a few days. The heating hadn't been on. The alarm operated in the night causing major panic (it's loud!). The second time it was early evening. We were all up this time (less panic) and the environment was similar to the first time.
