I was rather nervous about buying this. I have used an electric bread slicer for years but they are heavy, clumsy to use and difficult to store.However this cutter is proving very good. It is well made and seems sturdy. The blade really is sharp, nevertheless a spare may have been handy.The only drawbacks are that the base is rather small to mount even say an average sized Sourdough loaf on but I am managing.Plus I really do not find the suckers on the base that useful. They stick to anything which means it can stick to where you move it to momentarily or where you store it. I may take the suckers off which looks easy enough to do.Nevertheless I am pleased with this gadget so far.
