Do you always have to make a liquid solution? Or can you sprinkle the product on oatmeal/cooked foods to taste?

I had a difficult time finding directions for making a liquid solution. Here's what I did: Bought a 4-ounce dropper bottle. Amazon has them. Got out my measuring spoons and measuring cup. Boiled 2 cups of water in the measuring cup and sterilized everything, including the spoons and dropper. Emptied the water from everything and then added 1/2 cup of filtered water to the measuring cup and heated it to boiling. All this sterilizing is to make sure your mixture doesn't go bad before you can use it all. I added 4 level teaspoons of sucralose to the water. Stirred well and poured into the 4-oz. bottle, which will fill it up. I put mine in the refrigerator. This morning, I made my tea with 2 drops of the sucralose solution in place of 1 tablespoon of Splenda. You can make the solution stronger by using 6 level teaspoons of sucralose, but I wanted to be able to slightly sweeten some things, and you can't measure out half a drop. This product tastes great and because it's so concentrated, it is much less expensive than Splenda. I highly recommend it.

IS this product better than or equal to BulkSupplements?

In my opinion this product is now far superior to Bulk Supplements. I ordered sucralose from bulk supplements three times and each time the product was different. The first time it was similar to the Hard Rhino product I just started using (Fine white powder) the second time the material was coarser and clumping more easily. The third order was when I decided to look for another provider. The powder had a brownish cast and was usable but if that is quality control then I and bulk supplements have a different opinion of what constitutes quality control. I am extremely satisfied with the Hard Rhino product and will not be using bulk supplements again. I am not the only persosn to have an issue with the color of Bulk supplements Sucralose. How much does 1 teaspoon of this stuff weigh in grams?

WHY would you use a whole tsp of this??? Ever?? That's like using 600 tsp of sugar or 12.5 CUPS! I'm a retired chemist and if you're trying to figure out the sweetness equivalent of 1tsp of sugar, read the information taken from my review below: Sucralose is molecularly EXACTLY 600 times sweeter than sugar, (not 300-1000 times but exactly 600) which means for every tsp of sucralose you'd need 600 tsp of sugar to equal the same sweetness. 1 tsp of sugar is equal to 1/600th of a tsp or 4mg! (Milligrams, NOT grams). If you want to be exactly correct then: 1 cup of sugar = 2/3rds of a 1/8th tsp. Slightly less than 3/32 of a tsp or 192 mg. That's for ONE CUP of sugar equivalent. I use this amount for my 2 quarts of Kool-Aid and it's perfect. DO THIS: Mix 3/32 of a tsp of sucralose powder, or 2/3 of a 1/8th tsp, (or just 1/8 tsp to make it easy), or 4mg if you have a milligram scale, (NOT a gram scale but MILLIGRAM scale), in 1/2 cup of water. Mix thoroughly. Add more water to make 1 cup exactly. Use 1 tsp of this liquid to equal 1 tsp of sugar in your recipes.

I want to use this in recipes calling for two cups of splenda. How much should I use?

To acquire similar sweetness to 1 cup of table sugar to pure sucralose it would require approximately a rounded 1/16th tsp or scant 1/8 tsp in traditional measurements. If you have a milligram scale, ~330mg / 0.330g would be a more precise method. Since you are using so much less of total powder in the recipe, this could affect how your item will bake. Splenda adds a lot of filler such as Maltodextrin to try and give volume to make it easy to replace in baking. Erythritol, also known as a alcohol sugar, is a great option to add to baking recipes as it can provide the volume needed from traditional table sugar while the sucralose will be adding sweetness needed. Erythritol also has similar properties as sucralose with little to no glycemic effect.
