Easy to use and durable, been using it for a year now and so far I’m satisfied. There’s level to it if you can’t tolerate, but for me since I have high pain tolerance it works out fine. Good value for money.

I ordered this in 2024. It has just stopped working (August 2025) - pushing the button is not flashing the laser in the treatment window. I contacted Ulike and they have sent a new unit to me (I returned the old one). So, yes, this product works well BUT the customer services is AMAZING! I have never ever had this kind of service - well worth taking the chance for an expensive (to most) unit!

This is a review of "Ipl Hair Remover for Women & Men, Home Use" The packaging and presentation of this item is absolutely top-drawer - I suppose that's to be sort of expected given the premium price tag, but worth mentioning nevertheless as a lot of effort has clearly gone into it. The device itself looks very high-tech, although it is corded (for some reason I was expecting a rechargeable cordless device, possibly because the illustrations do not show a cord attached). In the box, in addition to the device, are the power cord, protective glasses, a razor (you are supposed to shave the target area first), cooling gel, and a couple of other bits and pieces. Instructions are detailed and include QR code links to get more guidance on use. I relied on my daughter for proper testing of the device and so far she is very impressed. I gather that it needs to be used for several weeks for optimal results but she is already achieving good results and is very happy with its design and operation. The presentation and packaging of the IPL Ulike 3 are absolutely impeccable—very sleek and high quality, which made a great first impression. It feels amazing on the skin and left me with no burns or marks of any kind. However, the usage schedule is extremely demanding, especially in the first few weeks. To follow the recommended routine, you need to treat the areas every 2 days for the first 4 weeks, then twice a week for the following 2 weeks. In order to get the most effective results, the device must be used on its maximum power setting. This means longer intervals between flashes, and if you want to treat each area properly (3 times as advised), the treatment time increases significantly. The flash window is quite small, and doing just one leg takes about an hour—this is not ideal if you have a busy lifestyle, kids, and a demanding job like I do. A simple surface area calculation can show how time-consuming this process is. Looking back, I should’ve done more research and chosen a device that requires less frequent sessions. I’m now at the end of week 3 and have started to see minimal results on my legs, but my bikini line hasn’t shown any improvement yet, which is surprising considering I have fair skin and dark hair—supposedly the ideal combination for IPL treatment. I’ll continue using the device for a few more weeks and update this review based on the results. If nothing changes, I may consider returning it.

I have tried many IPL hair removers, but this one is the less painful or uncomfortable, there is only a sensation of coolness on your skin. This one is more special because it has a technology that can target and remove hairs at more shallow, medium, and deeper levels for comprehensive hair removal. This will only be seen in time. I love that it has the automated mode, so I don’t need to press the button every single time. It actually only has automatic mode so it will flash even it isn’t touching the skin. It has 3 levels, and the strongest is the slowest but still very fast compared to others. In less than 10 minutes I was finished with both legs fully. With a flash speed of up to 90 flashes per minute I will be able to get rid of my unwanted hair much quickly and it won’t even take much of my time away. I can do it even while watching a movie. I highly recommend it, I wish I had 4-5 weeks to try it , because my hair is coarse, dark and thick. For now 2 weeks I can feel that is growing back slower, and possibly it’s thinning out a bit.

Truly cooling tip, the strength of coolness changes a bit, if you're overworking it on glide mode it might feel a bit warmer on a couple zaps but WOW overall very cold surface and it's hard for me to even tell fi the "cold" is surprising my skin or if it's the zapping thus nothing feels hot or painful! My partner who's a lot more hairy and dark haired than I, he said he felt some heat/zaps sometimes but I truly barely felt anything (so I've been using full strength @bikini zone). Hopefully this means it's still working for me! ○ BEAUTIFUL product. Honestly the nicest I've owned, would make a beautiful gift. Sleek packaging, luxe gray cushioned storage case for it. Sleek design, simple and easy to hold. Pretty design, leather or pleather cord straps built-in. Easy "quick start guide" is great, nice illustrations. Even comes with a pretty nice little razor which is great for travel imo. ○ Easy to use, only 2 buttons and I did keep forgetting which turned on the "easy glide" (it's the big one). slim an easy to get in nooks/crevices/curves of bikini zone since it's just a straight flat device! My old one was a gun shape and way bulkier to hold/angle and bigger head that couldn't get everywhere easily. ○ The glasses are great! They look cooler than others I've gotten w/ IPL, aviator style. Also definitely covers more area than those weirdly enough, not 100% but much better eye protection. Folds into compact little area, wish it came with a little bag or case for the glasses!!! ❌Dislikes: ● I have yet to see clear results which I'm sure is normal, guessing it takes time. I did directly zap hairs and they did not fall out or pull out at all after zapping so I hope this is normal? Time will tell. ● Not a big issue but the square box/"power adaptor" that attaches to the cord does make for more bulk/clutter on ground. I had thought that might be a remote power box for using cordless but nah. Just an extension of the machine I guess? ● Again, minor nitpick but would've been nice if there was a little glasses bag/case for safe keeping in the box. ● Probably for the better but it has no "counter" for use times/zaps left like my other had. BUT was probably BS anyway.

I got this for my daughter who has darker hair than mine, so it should work as designed. She's used it for about two weeks now and is starting to see reduced hair growth. According to her the ice cooling is a huge benefit, as the ones she used in the past didn't have that and she claims it makes all the difference. I'd like to try it myself but I'm lighter skinned and blonde so no go for me. We'll have to wait a few more weeks to get the true results but so far she prefers it to other devices she's used. Her one and only criticism is that it's kind of big and hard to handle. She wished they would have made the body a little more ergonomic for womens hands. Not a deal killer by any chance, but a minor issue. Overall she is happy with it so far and we'll update this review if it doesn't seem to preform as advertised long term, but so far it seems to be doing what it claims so she would recommend it.

This is from a Korean maker and actually has some brand awareness. As such, these are up into the more expensive range of IPLs. In my experience after 4 years, the top liked brands are Ulike, JOVS, and Braun. So this is a great pick if you can afford it. Pros =includes ice-cooling and should at that price =2 color choices (not that it matters) =improved cooling over earlier versions =improvements to the modes which are now "Power Mode / Body Mode / Soft Mode" vs. the standard 1-5 levels on most IPL or earlier versions by Ulike. =slightly improved power 21J (vs. 19.8J) =CLAIMS reduced time to see results (3 vs upwards of 8 weeks) although to confirm Standard =unlimited flashes Cons =higher price =weird shape is harder to use than the gun-shaped ones IPL Generalities Units are pretty standardized other than features like cooling, power in watts, shape, and build quality. You need to shave prior to use. Usually, they give you a razor but feel free to use your own. Make sure you wear safety glasses. Who knows what damage you could do to your eyes?. =does not work on certain skin or hair colors. See the chart that's included in most IPL. People who find they don't work typically have the wrong matches in the chart for compatibility or aren’t waiting a very long time before you see results.

I’m going to be straight up honest about this, it is a lot of effort in my opinion. It’s not really any less work than shaving. I guess it all depends on whether you want to zap your skin to stop hair growth, or just remove it by shaving or waxing, either way you go, it’s an effort. This is very nicely packaged but I found some of the instructions a bit confusing, so I hopped on over to YouTube and watched a couple videos which helped tremendously. The device seems to work well, and isn’t too difficult to use. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks and I don’t really see any real results yet, but I hope to. I made the mistake of shaving a couple stray chin hairs when I was pregnant with my son, well, nobody ever told me it would I grow back the way it did, I’ve been having To shave my chin for 20+ years and the more I shave the worse it gets! No woman wants a 5:00 shadow! If I don’t shave every 30 hours I get stubble that is uncomfortable and feels awful. So I’m using this on my chin to see if it will stop this awful growth in that spot. Once I have used it for a few more weeks I will update my review with the results. Here’s hoping for no more stubble.
