I use Blackberry Fusion all of the time and it is reddish, but I do not use Berry Blue.

How can both size boxes of jello powder - 0.3 oz and 3 oz - use same amount of water (according to packages) - 2 cups - to make?

If you look at the sugar content you will see the ounce uses real sugar and the other one uses artificial sugar and has nothing to do with the amount of water used to make the jello. Just follow the directions on the box and you will be OK.
