I ordered this just the other day and it was here this morning! It is the exact part that failed after I'm thinking about 3 years. The fountain is perfect otherwise and stainless steel plus I have several of the sponges and filter parts for it. The new ones so seen to use different shapes for those. I'm very happy I could get only the part for less than half the cost of replacing with one that might not be as good. Mine is tried and true and my cats are happy it's working again.

This motor is great, but typically it runs out in about a year for me. Just trying to be honest, I don't mind spending the money since it's not that much yearly.

Works great out of the box.. use for my cat's water fountain. It's quiet, about silent really, but only for a while. Problem with about all of these is the inside of the impeller shafts are plastic, spinning on a metal post. After a while, that plastic starts to degrade. Impeller will hang when you plug it back in after cleaning, and usually a light tap with a pin will get it spinning again. But each time that shaft is degrading more. After a while the noise from that impeller rattling on the shaft is very noticeable. But, price is low enough getting a replacement every 6 months or so isn't gonna break the back. You're mileage may vary.

I wanted a small water feature to bring sound and humidity into a plant-filled sunroom. Available items were too expensive or not to my taste. This small, very quiet pump will allow me to design and build my own fountain, with a cheap, colourful bowl and some pebbles perhaps. This might also suit someone interested in feng shui. To test the pump, I set up a simple rig with a bucket, some oddments of plastic tube and a T piece as shown here. I like that this runs on power from a USB powerbank, and the test rig has been running nonstop for 4 days without a recharge, with no problems. Maximum lift from this low pressure pump seems to be about 25cm unrestricted. Worth considering.
