Impressive little machine at an amazing price point
Have been looking for a machine for sometime now, and after seeing some reviews I took a chance on this one. Couldn’t be happier. The Tuni E2 came packaged securely and rather beautifully. It comes with everything you need to get started pulling a really nice shot. The E2 has a relatively small footprint so it fits just about anywhere in my kitchen. The suction cup feet are appreciated and help quite a bit as the portafilter can be a little tight to fit and remove, but I still need to keep a good grip on the side of the machine when doing so. The machine itself is light weight with a plastic body and I’m interested to see how it hold up over time, but as of right now I have no complaints. It seems to be a pretty solid build and looks pretty in my kitchen. It does have a nice metal group head for those wondering. That being said the E2 comes with a wonderful portafilter. Hefty, solid, and a firm fitting set of baskets that will go nowhere when knock out the pucks. Though it comes two different basket sizes for single and double shots, I have only used the double. The single holds my paper filters quite well at the tamping station though. The tamper is absolutely gorgeous for something that comes stock with the machine, wood handle with a great feel and decent weight to it. Pleasantly surprised by this. The bean scoop and leveler is the only….eh thing that was supplied stock. But even being kinda light weight plastic and awkward it has become my go to for getting beans out of the little designer bags for weighing out my brew each morning as the handle is quite long enough to make it pretty useful as the bag gets lower. The machine warms up quickly, and I’m impressed with the easy to adjust the temperature settings between the stock setting of medium, low and high heat. The ease and ability to program in a custom brew time is also handy. It only took pulling a few shots to dial this machine in and gain familiarity with what to adjust when rotating out to new beans and different grinds. The steam wand is impressive as is the milk pitcher that comes stock with it. While the pressure here is unadjustable, the output is impressive and after learning to work fast I’ve been creating some really glorious textures in my milk foam. I have been able to register the machine with Tuni but hope I never need to use the warranty. The manual does also come with some parts lists should things need repair. Again I hope this is never needed. Customer support has been in touch since receiving the machine with tips, and assuring my user satisfaction. At the moment I feel confident that that, should a problem arise, I have a good source for reconciling it. All in all this is a five star machine easily worth twice the cost. I’m incredibly happy that I took the chance. If you are looking for an amazing espresso machine at what seems to be a very budget friendly cost this is it.

Probably one of the best starter espresso, grinder kits on the market with some great features.
Although I returned these units, I would give them a strong endorsement for both quality and function. The only reason I didn't keep them was that I ended up preferring my super automatic machine for both taste and ease of use. Perfecting espresso takes time and patience. I thought that I would be able to make better tasting shots with this setup, but at the end of the day I wasn't able to achieve much better results and the weighing, grinding, tamping, brewing process was more than I was willing to do for just slightly better results than my Miele machine. The grinder is very high quality and I was able to dial in pretty easily the right grind for espresso. I loved the anti static feature and the sound level was not loud compared to other machines I have used. This machine looks great, has a small footprint, and has a great digital display. I found myself dosing the machine rather than using the timed grind function to get more precise quantities. Looks great on the counter and feels like it will last. If I needed a stand alone grinder, this would have easily stayed in my collection. What I loved about the espresso machine was the striking appearance and compact design. My wife was concerned that it would be too large for the countertop, however, even paired with the grinder, this did not take up more space than a standard coffee machine. It is made of high quality metal and plastics and has simple to read buttons. I did froth milk and had no issue. Having the ability to pull a shot of espresso and then froth right after adds to the overall satisfaction of use. Love that it has a 58 mm brew head and the portafilter that it comes with is excellent quality. You pretty much get everything that you need to get started on your espresso journey with this package at an incredible price. With patience and practice, I am sure this combo will punch high above it's price point. Highly recommend.

Tuni E2 - Great Home Espresso Machine
When the machine first arrived, I mistakenly assumed that the brewhead was a standard 58mm E61 and tried to use an E61 portafilter (2 ear) on the 3-ear 58mm Tuni E2. Tuni customer service could not have been more helpful and understanding; they were ready to send me a nearly-new replacement, free, before a buddy and I got the E61 portafilter off the machine. Note that the add-on Tuni bottomless 58mm portafilter will take an E61 21g basket, but it won't fit on the brewhead. The 19g Tuni 58mm basket does fit the portafiler and works fine in the machine. The only reason the machine does not get a 5/5 is the non-standard brewhead. If you don't already have other portafilters/baskets already, that won't matter. As long as you use Tuni E2 accessories, the machine is great. It's smaller than my old Gaggia Classic Pro and has a very nice modern look. The water tank is larger than the one on the Gaggia and easier to remove if you want to fill it at the sink, There is a button that will dispense a 75ml double shot and stop automatically. You can change the volume of the automatic double shot, or you can use the button that starts and stops the water manually. You can also change the default water temp if you want to; I have no need. The steam tube pivots in two directions making it easy to dispense steam into the drip tray before and after frothing the milk; it has a nice heat-proof handle, too. The machine makes great coffee either with the standard portafilter with two dispensers (use the automatic double shot button and fill two single-shot cups) and a 19g basket, or a bottomless portafilter with the same basket. I think the coffee is slightly better with the bottomless portafilter, but the difference isn't much. A really nice feature is the pressure gauge; it will show you clearly if you have a good balance of grind size, dose, and tamp or if you need to adjust those for a slower or faster brew. You can in theory dispense hot water from the steam tube but not much at a time before the machine stops to heat more water. It's easier to get hot water for tea from the microwave or a kettle on the stove. Overall, it's a great machine, easy to use, that doesn't take up much counter space and the price is great.

Quality product at this price point!
Super easy set up and operation for someone who is a new in home barista! Pulls quality shots and the grinder pairs amazingly with all of the accessories. This set definitely punches way above its weight! Highly recommended!

Does microplastic in your espresso sound good?
I originally purchased this machine because Tuni advertises it as having a “plastic free” brewing process. But that is clearly a big fat lie! There is a plastic component behind the brew head that comes into contact with hot water, making the espresso into an endocrine disrupting microplastic-filled drink — as you may already know, when hot water comes into contact with plastic, the plastic leeches into the water, the same water used to make the espresso. I returned this machine as soon as I discovered the plastic component behind the brew head, because I don’t want micro-plastics in my espresso! Tuni is basically able to lie about this whole issue by claiming the plastic components don’t touch the hot “brew water”, or are not in the “brew path” which is the point at which the hot water comes through the metal brew head into the espresso. They don’t mention that plastic comes into contact with the hot water BEFORE it’s technically “brew water.” Sheerly through clever rewording (“brew water” vs hot water) Tuni is able to imply that there’s no plastic getting into the espresso drinks this machine makes — which again, is a lie.

This is a great machine period especially for the cost.
Great coffee machine and grinder at a great price. I was a little reluctant to buy this machine not being sure of the quality but I had gone through too many expensive Gaggia Classic espresso machines and did not want to spend the money yet again. My thought was why not take a chance and I couldn't be happier with the machine. I just recently had about eight friends over for Christmas dinner and everybody wanted to post dinner espresso or cappuccino and I was amazed at how quickly I could make them for everyone. Each one turned out great. My only complaint is like a couple of other the reviews the non-standard portafilters which is left me with a couple of expensive two eared porta filters that no longer have a use

Totally worth it!
This machine is so impressive. I am amazed at how well this machine performs. Once it was dialed in, I am getting consistent pressure and it produces the same smooth espresso time after time. The dual boiler system is quick to heat up. It makes my morning americano easy enough to make as I walk out the door. It consistently produces a double shot of espresso with the pretty golden foam. Once that is done, I have my milk ready to use the steamer milk frother. I can feel the heat thru the pitcher and can easily tell when it is time to stop. Pour all coffee and the steamed milk together into my cup and viola, "the perfect espresso". The size of the machine fits perfectly on my counter. I purchased the white machine because it is so pretty. You need to get this. If you are on the fence and thinking of another machine, you should forget that other machine and get this. You will love it.
