I bought this tent a couple of months ago and finally had the chance to use it this past weekend during a nearby car-camping trip. The quality is excellent, the interior is incredibly spacious, and I really appreciated the mesh windows on all sides — they provided great ventilation, which was a lifesaver on such a hot weekend! One of the main reasons I chose this tent over others was the promise of an easy setup, as highlighted in the title and description. However, setting it up by myself was an absolute BEAST! Despite watching YouTube videos and watching the setup of a similar UNP non-SUV tent on Amazon, I absolutely struggled — especially with the A/longest poles. It took me over 45 minutes just to get them onto the pin-rings! I even had to stand on the tent itself and brace one post just to get the other in place. So, ease of setup was a big, fat no - you'll need at least 2-3 people for setup! In the end, I managed to get it set up and was glad I could still enjoy the tent and my camping weekend!

Beginner camper here. Easy to set up. I was able to set this tent up by myself following the instructions on the bag of the tent, took about 40 minutes. Tent is sturdy and roomy for me & my pup. We set up a queen sized air mattress and had extra room. There’s 2 pockets inside the tent. 2 windows. A door towards car and a door the opposite direction. All opening have optional mesh layer which did a great job keeping bugs out. The tent stands by itself when you disconnect from car. Very convenient. Keeping this item

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is HUGE! It’s great and I love it. Easy for one person to put up and tear down. I was the only one on a camping trip not to get flooded. So why 4 stars you ask? My hatch doesn’t quite fit under the rain guard. I’m afraid it would tear the tent if opened all the way so I left the poles out of the guard the second trip and the water pooled in the opening and my air mattress got wet (no worries, I slept fine). I have a crossover, so I don’t see how a full sized SUV would fit in this, at the very least the car would have to be parked far enough a way not to interfere with the rain guard. I love that I can leave things in the back hatch and it makes organization, setup, and cleanup really easy.

The part of the tent that attaches to your vehicle collects rain water, a lot! Which made it a sloppy wet mess to fold up and put away. It also did not fit snuggly around my suv and critters would have had no problem climbing inside. For this reason, I had to close the back end of my suv in order to feel like a snake wasn’t going to crawl into the car with me. I would have returned this item but they don’t give you much of a chance to camp and figure out if this is a good tent. I feel cheated because we used the tent, realized it’s not what it is described as, and by the time I came back home it was too late to exchange or return this item.

On my first overnight, sleeping on a comfy mat in the back of my Prius with this lovely attached tent! There was quite a thunderstorm a little while ago, all is dry inside. Love the electrical access hole, warmed frozen mac & cheese in my new lunchbox ( from Amazon), looking forward to hot water in the morning, charging my phone overnight. Am camping solo, thought I'd be setting it up on my own- seemed doable after the trial run with help in the driveway. A gracious camp neighbor came to my rescue, it went up easily with the two of us. I'm a little concerned about getting the rain fly on by myself, as a tent is taller than I am. I'll update the review if I ever end up putting it up by myself 🤷 I'm delighted to be able to stand up and have a "living room/kitchen! Another solo camper with just a tent came by, admiring this tent! Ok, beginning night 2. I didn't get much sleep last night because a raccoon kept sneaking in where the tent attaches to the car. There was a puddle on the ground, holding the part under the bumper down so he could easily walk in. In. I hadn't considered that I can't exactly lock my food in the car if I'm in the car with the hatchback opened🤔 I'm in a new location but I really want to get more sleep tonight so I decided to put all the food in the car, keep the windows rolled up, sleep in the tent detached from the car. I sure am glad that is an option! I did manage to put it up by myself in under half an hour. I put one of the long poles in, but then popped it up, then did the same with the second one.

It was easy enough to set up by one person return it only because my Jeep has lift kit that put the suv opening to low could have made it work with a little work

This is awesome and super easy to put up alone even if youre a senior citizen. Just lay the tent all the way out flat. put the two long poles together. Thread them through the tabs. Dont try to erect it untill you've threaded the two long poles through. Connect one side of each pole to the metal posts. Go to the other side and put one pole in. Put other side in while popping it up. Boom done! Then and only then hook it on to the vehicle. I love this because you can drive away leaving a normal looking really nice, really big tent. Then back in and hook up again.

Très bon produit. Nous avons passé 3 nuits en camping avec la tente et notre Tesla model Y et c’était parfait. La tente est spacieuse (nous y tenons debout) et possède 2 ouvertures avec zip et moustiquaire, ce qui permet de la refermer lorsque nous quittons le site de camping avec la voiture. Comme mentionné par plusieurs personnes, il vaut mieux être 2 personnes pour faire le montage.

Sets up nicely, seems to Do the job well and provide me with a nice area to put my stuff and enter my vehicle to sleep. Just wish I could bring it closer to the vehicle so that the step between tente and car is a bit easier. Definitely need two people to set this up.

So we’ve used this tent in an unconventional way, but it still worked and this might be useful for someone out there! We couldn’t find a reasonably priced tent attachment for a ‘75 westfalia, so we purchased this and attached it to the sliding door opening with 50lbs magnets. This tent was easy to set up and so far has been waterproof and wind proof. It’s very spacious and has good headroom, totally recommend this tent!

My first planned camping trip with this tent was cancelled due to bad weather, so I didn't try setting it up until 3 months after delivery so was past the Amazon return date, unfortunately. One of the poles snapped along it's length on first set up and one of the side clips was broken out of the package. There also appears to be a blemish on the floor - hope it doesn't leak. I would have liked to have returned it due to these issues, but too late I guess - lesson learned. This tent is large and unwieldy. We actually needed 3 people to raise the roof on first set up. Hopefully, 2 will be okay after first try as that's the number going camping! Other than issues above, it looks pretty good with well sealed doors, windows, etc.
