COST-JUSTIFIED AT ANY PRICE
By ANY measure..COST JUSTIFIED. I Bought these, like 99% of tools and stuff I buy, just to HAVE, and ready in case I find myself in a project down the road. I saw these used and demo'd to me at my local, privately-owned electronic shop but coudlnt justify the added cost at the time. Then circumstance & TIME caught up with me. I'm just a DIY'r but now severely limited with bad arthritis and tendonitis {caused by my pharmacist profession] and which flares up with the simplest of motions and efforts now. I have 2 pairs of the standard, old school CRIMPERS, one standard and other ratcheting style...but both are lost in my storage shed or grew legs. That alone seemed good enough excuse to buy another set. Cheap standard hex crimpers are 20-$25. A better ratcheting set costs in range of $40-45. Do the math. MORE importantly is the fact if you;re in bad shape like me. THESE and the better hydraulic compression tools are an almost medical necessity. Folks in the actual business doing it every day I dont see have any choice but to buy and have these or better tools. But when ur young they dont listen or feel the aches or long term effects till down the road. ALWAYS BUY GOOD TOOLS, cost be damned...whether you can initially afford it or not! I already remodeled and ran all new lines throughout house before buying these. Everyone { DTV, DISH ETC, } all going to & using the newer compression-style fittings. They even cut off any remaining old-style connectors when doing digital upgrades, etc. { if not require full re-wire in some places...big $$} Whether its just to charge you more or just to ensure quality connection for their own liability I cant say. These IDEAL 'crimpers' do ALSO work as advertised on the many style connectors. I ran all Quad SHIELD. Opinions are just that, opinions; take mine also for its worth. Buy these IDEALS. They are perfect example of the saying: ' a solution looking for a problem'. They allow for making good, tight, near bulletproof connection almost idiot-proof. BUT ALSO IMPORTANT... BUY GOOD QUALITY CONNECTORS to go with this tool. They work wilth pretty much all connectors but I have used ONLY IDEAL or KLEIN no matter what style/type 'crimper' i was using. DISH sent a worker to my house and he budget tools...I sent him home and packing. Whats it say when WE have better tools than entry level, minimum wage journeyman? I rather buy the RIGHT & BEST tools for a job { where feasible, i mean } and do a job myself...as its only way to KNOW a job is done right & proper. But after that certain age Life has ya by the groin. But I refuse to go down without a fight so Until then I bought these IDEALS ,whether i ever use them or not. Nice knowing i have them. My opinion, as I said.

great product
I sanded down the mold seem left over from manufacturing. Less of an irritant to the palm now.

OmniSeal-Pro
This is an essential tool for terminating RG58/59/RCA/BNC. I also use two-part BNC crimping method but this is the most weather tight and fool-proof tool for BNC. It is professional grade materials and supply lines are supported widely for the terminators themselves. Some PDF's available have out-of-date part numbers for legacy terminators, but the best pricing, even in smaller quantities can be found online. Highly valueable tool.

It works but is a pain to use compared to others. It's also needlessly expensive. There is no reason it should cost this much. It will work, but I'd look elsewhere.

Replaces old model that didn't work with BNC connectors
I had to purchase this because I needed to use some BNC connectors and the old model I had didn't fit them. This model works great and has a nice feature allowing you to push the stripped cable into the F connector until in bottoms out with the dialectric flush with the inner part of the cyclinder (really can save your fingers when doing many connections back to back.)

Great tool.
This is my first compression tool. normally i use the crimp type, but with compression, it looks factory terminated and is waterproof. I would give it 5 stars but it didn't come with instructions.

Disappointed
A coworker has this tool and I liked it so I bought one. Unfortunately, mine WAS NOT set correctly from the factory and seems to be slightly bent causing bad crimps. I have to hold the connectors in place with my fingers while I crimp.

Works like you'd want it to.
This unit works just as you'd expect. It's easy to use, and compresses properly. It's a nice, solid tool without any drama.
