We bought the 36". It fits perfectly in the opening and was easy to install. My husband and I did the installation ourselves and we are NOT very knowledgeable on electrical wiring. It was that simple. All five burners function well and I love the knobs not being in the front.

I replaced a GE Profile cooktop with this unit, after the GE gave up the ghost after about 10 years. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new unit, so this one's price point drew my attention. It got generally good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. Although it works, there are/were some issues. First, the dimensions fail to take in the fact that there are screw heads that stick out farther than the stated dimensions. My counter has a stainless surround, so the unit would't fit thorough the opening due to the screw heads. I had to take a metal file and notch the surround to this cooktop would drop through into place. Annoying. Next, although all of the burners work, the hot surface lights on two of the burners are swapped. If you turn on the front double burner, the light comes on for the back right burner. Alternately, turning on the back right burner will illuminate the light for the front right double burner. Not a great thing if you are using those lights to determine what burners are hot. The fact that those are crossed makes me wonder what else may be miswired, and adds to my concern for its longevity. We'll see.
