It was brand new and I am really enjoying it. Review: I found the histories of the peoples and their lands very interesting. Martin and his co-authors outdid themselves on this. I had not realized that the peoples of Westeros at one time lived in Essos and crossed the narrow sea to escape being overrun by the Valyrians and their dragons. Great reading and worth the time and money.
