Mountain House Chicken & Dumplings | Freeze Dried Backpacking & Camping Food |2 Servings

The Mountain House chicken and dumplings are so good, that I make them for lunch or dinner and before I know it, I have nothing left for emergency meals. They are so simple to make. I heat water in my kettle or the Keurig, add it to the bag, stir it and wait 10 minutes to dig in. I keep some in my cart or saved for later so that I can jump on them whenever there’s a good price. It’s cheaper, better and faster than Door Dash. I have a hearty appetite, so I eat the whole bag by myself, but I can see where they could make two meals. If I am lucky enough to have any on hand when and if there is no power, I would just add room temperature water and let it soak longer. It would still be tasty and good to eat. They are also perfect to have on hand for anytime you are under the weather and can’t cook..

Great option for backpacking to Havasupai. Lightweight, tasty and quick to make. Variety of meals worked great for breakfast and dinner with snacks for lunch. I appreciated how little time we spent on meals and could prioritize hiking and sightseeing instead.

Great quality great taste and they do a great job of packaging in it and it’s very cheap compared to other MRE this one’s pretty good tasting but anything taste great when you’re an emergency you’re starving

I bought these for my emergency preparedness kit. I went on an emergency trip to California and just grabbed a few because I was car camping in a hospital carpark to be close to my sister. They ended up coming in very handy. I was very surprised at how good the meals were. It says each packet is two servings, but it was just one dinner for me. Highly recommend for camping, emergency food supply or just a quick meal at home when you don't want to cook. Just add warm water and the freeze dried food reconstitutes and is very fresh. The chicken tastes like chicken and the veggies were bright and delicious. This is the only one I have tried. Can't speak for the other meals they offer. Highly recommend.

I am preparing for evacuation, just in case of a horrific fire (this happened last year a few miles away), a hazardous materials spill (this happened last year a couple of blocks away) or an earthquake (there have always been shakes and tremors, but no big one yet). So far, the Chicken & Dumplings is tastiest among four different MH foods I have tried! Taken out of the pouch and placed on a nice plate, it looks and tastes like a homemade meal. One pouch = a satisfying portion for one highly active small person. I doubt two lumberjacks would enjoy sharing one pouch, but the taste and quality make it worth stashing away or eating whenever I find myself starving in action.
