Wetted out; Not durable
I used these socks on a trip to Peru in the winter. After exiting the hot springs, I put on these socks and wore my sandals (which were wet). The socks became wet... feet cold. I took off the sandals to walk around in the socks and they started coming apart. Not a good experience.

Only for slum legged people.
The socks aren't big enough around for my legs. Painfully tight & it was all I could do to get them on. (Worse than compression socks/teds.)Foot size was perfect. I wish they had larger diameter socks.

They really do work, and they keep your feet warm to!
I do a lot of rock collecting on and in rivers. These have opened up so much more rock collecting areas! The water up here in MN in fall is ice cream headache cold on your feet, around 40F-50F degrees. With normal socks you can stand in the water maybe 30 seconds before it starts to become extremely uncomfortable and painful.Using these waterproof socks I was able to stand in the river below my knees (knee high socks) for 1-2 hours no problem. My feet stayed dry and warm, maybe slightly cool from the water, but not uncomfortable at all. These socks are thick and warm and work very good. They are a little on the pricey side, however they are not a normal pair of socks.I am pleased with my purchase and happy about how effective they are at keeping your feet warm and dry. I was very skeptical when I purchased them, however they have proven themselves. I bought a pair for my girlfriend and she loves them also. If you do a lot of shallow river crossings these are a game changer!
