Love it!
I like this eyelash curler, with that being said, I have never used one and got this brand because of the positive reviews. I have used it several times now and I don't have any complaints. The only concern I had was with the writing on the curler itself: Green Bell. I was confused because the brand I bought is: Seki Edge and nowhere on the packaging it mentions Green Bell. After a little research I have found out that Green Bell produces beauty and grooming tools that are sold under Seki Edge trademark, so it is not a knockoff :) . This info might be obvious to those who is more familiar with Seki, but I hope this might be helpful to some who are new to it, like me.

MY FAVORITE EYELASH CURLER BY FAR!!!!!
My favorite eyelash curler!! I've tried many many eyelash curlers throughout my life and this one is the best the price! Works similarly to the Shu Uemura eyelash curler at half the price! Works very well, curls turn out nice and easy to use. Lasts a very long time however the sponge needs replacement every so often as with other brands. They give you an extra sponge with purchase.

Replaced this with the Japonesque
This one did an okay job, but would sometimes pinch my lids, usually grabbed my lower lashes, didn't fit all my lashes into it at one time and I finally tried the Japonesque. There's no comparison for me; the Japonesque is fantastic for me.I have long lashes and almond shaped eyes. Maybe it works well for a different shaped eye and shorter lashes but the Seki for me is history.Nothing against the brand. Their stainless nail clippers are fantastic.

Doesn't curl, removes my lashes
I was pretty confident this Seki lash curler would be great after reading all the positive reviews. The curler I've been using for the last 5 years is Shu Uemera, but they don't sell replacement pads/bumpers. After receiving my Seki from Amazon last week, I tried it out a few times with very poor results. First, it doesn't curl my lashes. I wouldn't say I have hard lashes to curl either (I'm caucasian and have curly hair); most lash curlers I've had have worked to some extent. This one doesn't really at all. Also, I noticed alot of my lashes being pulled out by the Seki, a problem I did not have with the Shu Uemera. I was hoping this $9 Seki would be as good as the expensive curlers, but it's not the case. I guess I got what I paid for. Actually, I didn't even get $9 worth. I'll have to give this away to someone else or let my daughter play pretend with it as Amazon won't take it back. Save your $9 and get something else.

good design, not so good pad
I used Shu Uemura's eyelash curler for years and I'd say the Seki one fits my eyes as well as the Shu's, which I am very happy about. However, the white pad seems to be made of silicone instead of rubber. It's very elastic, no matter how hard I press, I can not get my eyelashes curled enough.

eyelash curler
I've used Mabeline eyelash curlers since I was a kid. I bought this one because I started using Latisse. I figured I'd use this new one before I applied the Latisse, and my old Mabeline one when I applied make-up. This one works far better than the Mabeline curler. It does not "catch" your eyelashes or hurt when used. I will use the Seki eyelash curler from now on, and I bought one for my daughter also.

Frustrating.
I, too, had never used an eyelash curler before purchasing this one (again, due to the many positive reviews). However, I can't say I am pleased with my purchase. The curler occasionally pinches the skin on my eyes and half the time won't even curl all of my eyelashes. It fits my eyes just fine, but about 3/4 of my lashes will get curled, and then the other 1/4 of them just aren't touched. I guess at least it doesn't pull my lashes out.
