Dorman 600-203XD 4WD Auto Locking Hub Assembly Compatible with Select Ford/Lincoln Models (OE FIX)

Went to install on a 2004 Excursion to replace an old one that was extremely hard to turn. When I went to put it in the snap ring would not seat correctly. Tapped it with a mallet to see if I could get it to go in more and still couldnt get it to seat properly. Put the old one back in and it slid right in and snap ring fit back in properly. When I took this new one out i noticed the lip was messed up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS "UPGRADE" as it clearly does not fit as I am not the only one that has had issues. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.

Despite what everyone says about this locking hub not fitting, it does. The O-ring that comes with it is just to thick, replace it with OEM and your good to go. The hub is half the price of anywhere else I searched.

These would not go in the hub far enough for the snap ring to engage. I tried my OEM snap ring in case the OD was smaller and still no luck. My OEM went back in with no problem. Been using Dorman products for years with no complaints and will continue. However there seems to be a problem with this design. I was refunded with no problems

Owning a Professional Auto Repair Shop for 60+ years and I decided to buy a Dorman Product which normally is a no brainer, except these do not fit and will not lock into the hub. So I had to order Ford OEM units its about $70 more but as long as it works I don't care and my customer will be happy. SO DO NOT ORDER THESE GO BUY A FORD OEM UNIT INSTEAD. Just to let you know I first Ordered the Generic Chinese ones off Amazon 2 for $50 and those leaked Vacuum like a sieve. Should have purchased a Ford part to begin with see what I get for trying to save my customer some money.

States that it fits my f250. However it will not go in far enough to place the clip back in place. Old one goes back in with no issue
