I appreciate that the fillers are minimal—just a little rice flour—which means fewer unnecessary additives. The capsules are even more colorful than other riboflavin types I’ve tried before, which speaks to how bioactive, potent, and fresh this product truly is. It provides the support I need without any surge-and-crash effects.

The bottle is white with both an outer and inner seal. Inside, I see cotton padding and dark yellow caps. From the bottle front label, I learn it's R-5-P riboflavin-5'-phosphate 50 mg per cap and that it's stearate free, non-GMO, gluten free and vegan. I further see on the bottle that it contains no artificial color, added sugar, salt, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, or preservatives. The supplement facts on the label tell me to take 1 capsule 1 to 2 times daily. I take one a day since I think 50 mg of R5P a day are enough for my needs as a healthy person. The bottle contains 120 caps, so it should last me 4 months. Under other ingredients, I read vegetarian capsule and rice flour. I know people who are on strict keto diets, but I find it ridiculous that some of them avoid a supplement with a potential against glycation just because it contains a FEW milligrams of rice flour with a totally INSIGNIFICANT amount of carbs. I also note it's manufactured by Bestvite Inc. in Sun Valley, CA and has a phone and lot number, a website and a manufacturing date of 5/2024 listed on the bottle. R5P is the metabolically active form of vitamin b2 and needed for energy production. The capsules are 0.62 inches (1.57 cm) long and easy for me to swallow with water.

Obeying FDA labeling requirements, BestVite prints the address where these pills were manufactured on the back of the bottle: these riboflavin pills were manufactured in Sun Valley, CA. BestVite's website explains that they are both GMP and NFS certified (which is very rare for vitamins, and indicates top quality). Their vegan capsules contain no magnesium stearate additives. These facts already put these capsules heads above many others. Stearates can cause poor intestinal absorption and immune system inhibition. When I saw the size of these pills, I had to recheck the front label: “Wait, are these for cats?” If you have difficulty swallowing these, you may have a throat tumor. The serving size is only one of these easily swallowed tot-sized pills, and you get 3,846% of your daily value of riboflavin, an energy producing water soluble B vitamin (meaning such high doses aren't toxic, and you will likely just urinate out what you don't need). I'm definitely glad I got these! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm updating this review after taking these once a week for four months (I preserve these for Thursdays, when I need the most energy). Something has definitely improved my energy levels on my most busy day, and I definitely believe it's these pills. I had also noticed my urine is fluorescent yellow on Thursdays. For a while, that kind of alarmed me some, but I recently discovered that riboflavin does that to urine, and it's harmless. The riboflavin in these pills are causing that.

My neurologist suggested that I take a Riboflavin/B2 supplement to help prevent headaches and migraines which is why I decided to order this supplement. I cannot yet speak to the health benefits of it, but I can confidently report that I have not experienced any negative side effects or issues with this supplement. I have used this brand before and the supplements I've received always seem fresh and to be of good quality. The capsules are small and they are fairly easy to swallow. At the current price of about $18 for 120 caps, I find this to be a decent deal for what you get, and I do recommend them to others from my personal experience so far.
