I Truly Like Everything About It
It is very satisfying to find a manufacturer who genuinely cares about all aspects of their product. This is my first haircutting kit and I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. To start off with, I am very particular about packaging, and it is evident that Wahl also cares about this. The clipper comes in a sturdy, cleanly branded cardboard box sealed with a Wahl sticker, so you know that it is new. Inside is the well-designed, functional plastic carrying case holding the easy-to-read instructions, the clipper, attachments, cleaning brushes and oil, two combs, and a pair of scissors that work very well. I will continue to keep the clipper and all accessories inside the plastic carrying case that I will put back in the sturdy, rectangular-shaped box after each use to keep everything together and for ease of storage. They advertised this model as being quiet, which is one of the main reasons I selected it. And it is in fact noticeably quiet. I received this product yesterday and we used it today. This was my first ever home haircut and the first time my wife has used a clipper. Its ergonomic design, solid build, and balanced weight clearly prove it is high quality. It was a lot easier to use than either of us thought it would be. And I was very satisfied with the outcome! We errored on the side of caution and decided to use only the #8 attachment and scissors to start with. That is all we needed! Wahl, thank you for taking pride in your products! I highly recommend this Wahl Clipper kit. Extremely high quality at a very reasonable price.

This is the bomb!
Many accessories. Works as advertised. If you want bald, nearly bald (me) longer hair it has all the parts to do it. Special attachments to cut around the ears is awesome. Extremely pleased.

Clippers are great, everything else is trash
The clippers themselves are very good. They seem sturdy, run smoothly, feel good in the hand, work well at their intended design of cutting your own hair, charge quickly, last a long time, and don't make much noise. They're not as quiet as the high-end clippers that barbers use, but I've probably used a dozen different models of clippers over the years and these are among the quietest. That said, it's really *just* the clippers that are good in this set. The guards are OK but they don't seem the sturdiest or most durable. The comb, brushes, and scissors included are as cheapo as it gets. The case is absolutely next-level cheap plastic, the kind that shatters if you look at it wrong. Mine arrived already cracked and falling apart, so I just threw it away. Packaging is also very bad - I thought I'd mistakenly gotten a return or a refurb in a plain paper-thin brown box until I realized that no, that's actually how Wahl thinks their product should look. This kit first hit my radar a few years ago when it came out new for a hundred bucks. I would have been really dissatisfied with it for that price. Over the years, though, it eventually went on sale for a third of that, and that feels like a pretty reasonable price for what I got.

Serious Upgrade to Home Cut
This I've been using a Wahl Color Pro clipper for about 8 years now, and while I've always liked it I didn't always treat it right. Over the last few years I debated upgrading but didn't feel like anything else would do me better, but having a lighter more compact hair clipper REALLY did! I have got really small hands (children's gloves for around age 10 usually fit me perfectly) and do my own hair cuts. Having something that fit better in my hand gave me a lot more control over what I was doing and didn't tire my hand or arm out as quickly as my previous clipper did, which is saying something consider each haircut takes me at least 30 mins. What can I say, I work slowly after one too many accidents! These clippers were quieter, lighter, and cut more smoothly than my poor abused color pro did. It really made this the easiest and best haircut I think I've ever done. Below are the issues I found and the things I loved. CONS: 1. Corded - a cordless would be better 2. Can't operate ON/OFF switch one handed 3. Container for set is cheap and thin plastic, I can tell it will break at the hinge PROS: 1. Small enough that anyone could use it 2. Lightweight enough to not cause strain while using 3. QUIET and powerful, no trade off between them 4. Great assortment of guides, combs, and brushes 5. Included scissors fit well in hand and were wonderfully sharp

Real good clippers with pivot motor
Hopefully these continue to perform well. I initially tried the Wahl Multi-Purpose that I got from a large retailer when the pandemic shutdown started. That one worked real well at first, but the detachable blade became loose and wouldn't stay on properly so I had to return and search for another option. The Wahl Self Cut Pro is a similar size, but with a different motor and a taper lever added. The Multi-Purpose has a rotary motor which is fast and cut on the first pass while the Self Cut Pro has a pivot motor that requires more than one pass to get the same result. Pivot motors are powerful but move the blades slower than a rotary motor, and better than standard magnetic clipper motors. I found that an advantage with the Self Cut Pro because while it required a few passes to cut over one spot, it also allowed blending or correcting mistakes to be easier since you don't cut all the hair on the first pass. This is my personal preference but may not be what you like. Research clipper motor types and buy a set of clippers based on your preference since the motor is what basically differentiates most clippers. The Self Cut Pro was powerful enough so that did not snag or pull my hair and had no trouble making a clean cut with a few passes. Just understand that it likely won't cut everything on the first pass and you should be fine. The ergonomics are real good since it is fairly small and it is easy to maneuver when cutting your own hair. Not much vibration and motor is rather quiet compared to other clippers I've experienced. The only drawbacks I found were minor in my opinion. The industrial strength cord is long but somewhat awkward. It is thicker than my vacuum cleaner cord so not sure what the reason is for that. The case is not very sturdy, very lightweight plastic. I'm probably going to shift to some other sort of storage container eventually. Otherwise, really good clippers.

Just right!
Since COVID hit, I've been cutting my husband's hair at home. I dug out the old Oster that we'd used when we were still struggling to pay off school loans. It was a heavy-duty one and had lasted since hubby was still wearing an Afro. But after so many years put away in the back of the linen closet, it was not up to a 3rd decade of use. So I picked up an inexpensive Conair while out shopping. It did not make it thru hubby's thick head of hair. But the Wahl is powerful enough to do the job quickly and efficiently. It's fairly quiet and is small enough to be easily handled by my older hands. The cord is long enough to reach all around. The Wahl clipper is just right! Lot of guards ... actually more than we need but who knows what hair styles may crop up in the future? The storage case is just adequate but I don't expect to be throwing it around so it'll do. The important thing is that the Wahl clipper is great. Does the job quickly and makes a nice clean trim at the neck and around the ears.

Multi usable hair clippers
Great clippers to maintain a hair length. Suggestion, touch up every two weeks. Otherwise, long hair to really short looks like you went to boot camp each time. Easy to handle while cutting. Charges relatively quickly. Has more than enough cutting heads for any hair length. Easy to clean. If you're looking for a head clippers to the scalp length, this isn't the clippers for that. Get an actual scalp shaver.

I LOVE THIS LITTLE KIT
i HAVE NEVER USED A HAIR CLIPPER BEFORE IN MY LIFE. My husband was really starting to look shaggy. No barber shops were open due to pandemic. I bought this on the recommendation of a friend. I read each page carefully. Every piece is clearly marked and its large enough for you to see. I followed the directions and in no time my husband looked FANTASTIC. I was so nervous I thought Lord don't let me cut his ear off. But they have a special little attachment that is meant to shape the hair over the ear on the right side and another one for the left side of the head. the only drawback I had is I didn't buy a cordless one. It has a very long cord on it and it isn't noisy at all. small hum to it. It has 3 settings for the blade. for the cost I think we got a super great deal. I won't be so nervous next time. You will make a great investment in buying this and doing your own haircuts at home. you can use it on men, women and children. SUPER GREAT PRICE AND FAST DELIVERY
