It’s a good device but if you want further info as far as what the code means , you will have to spend a little more money for an update . But this device works for me because I just google the code to find out.

You need to be sure it works with your vehicle, and that's not easy to find out. It doesn't work with my 2015 KIA Soul, for example, even though the car seems to have the required features. I'm hoping it will some time in the future, but there doesn't seem to be any way to find out.

This is the second ODBII scanner I've used and unfortunately my other seems to detect and read more sensors. For example, I can read my transmission temperature (which is useful for towing) on my first scanner. This one doesn't find transmission temp as a sensor at all and I can't figure out a way to force load it. The app and dashboard on this scanner are much cleaner than my old one though so I wish it had more sensor data. This scanner also has a simpler error code readout and and GUI which makes it nicer for detecting and fixing issues, however this isn't something I commonly use so it doesn't help me much there either. There is a battery test function... but really you can perform the same test with a simple multimeter that has a min setting so that really isn't a big win for me either. The app wanted me to create an account and requested my email, which is a little confusing why they need an email to read my car odb info.Overall I'm a little disappointed that this product isn't capable of more. Guess I'll just stick with my old simple scanner and app. Would I order again? No.

This is a great scan tool at a very reasonable price, especially helpful for those of us with older cars. I've been diligent with maintenance on my 2008 Toyota Rav4, and this tool gives me extra peace of mind by allowing me to monitor its basic health. I can now easily check for engine codes, monitor emissions readiness, and even see sensor readings. It provides a wealth of information, which is fantastic for those who want to delve deeper into their car's diagnostics. While some of the data is beyond my current understanding, it's great to know it's there, and the basic functions are very easy to use. This makes it suitable for both beginners and those who want more advanced features. Highly recommend!

I love knowing that when I have issues I can plug this in first instead of relying on a time-consuming and pricey mechanic's visit (which, ok, might come next). One of my cars is pre-OBD2, but the other works with this scanner. It's so easy and quick. I love that I can check the health status of my battery, as I've had passive draw issues in the past. The interface kinda cracks me up but it's pretty simple to navigate, even for a newbie. Great value.
