I purchased two L’Oréal Paris Excellence hair dyes at the same time in two different shades: 6.11 and 6. The shade 6 arrived later, so I decided to use the darker shade 6.11 first. I followed all the instructions in the box, including washing my hair with the shampoo provided. However, after rinsing and drying, my hair remained grey and the dye did not give the expected coverage/result. I’m very disappointed, especially given the advertising and the results shown on the packaging.

I loved the color, just like the description. It covered my gray hair completely.

It feels like something has changed. My hair feels dryer, falling out more and it’s not completely covering grays. Despite being careful to make sure every area is covered. Looks like the mixture is completely on every spot. Yet, when it’s washed out, the gray still shows in spots like the sides. Luckily, at least when first colored, they tend to blend a bit more, but it’s frustrating. Also seems to start showing roots within about 2 weeks and I don’t wash my hair every day. Used to be my favorite product, but I’ve started looking at other options.
