Everything you need to get started
I was looking for an inexpensive electric guitar that I was going to be both well made and easy to play. There are so many guitars out there in there under $300, it took alot of research before finally deciding on this Squire Stratocaster bundle. It comes with everything you need to get started right out of the box. Free, On line lessons are included to guide you on your journey toward proficiency. Upon receiving the bundle, I began the unboxing. It was packaged well and everything came in undamaged. After a quick tuning I was able to play it without any adjustment or refinement. The edge is of the fretboard were smooth and the neck appears straight. I like the matt finish of the body and the neck finish is smooth making it easy to travel up and down its length easily. The tuners are easy to turn and the guitar hold it's tuning well. I'm not planning on playing to an audience, so the little amp is more than loud enough for my small house. It actually sounds good with the basic nuts position switch that allows you to choose what pickup configuration you want as well as knows to adjust treble and bass and volume. Highly recommend especially for beginners.

Christmas came early
My mom bought me this for Christmas and the guitar has great quality, it’s not too heavy despite it being full size. And the amp is great for beginners, it’s apartment friendly, where you can lower it as much as you want and still be able to have that electric sound without disturbing your neighbors. When I didn’t receive the DVD they were kind enough to send a free gift along with the DVD I was missing. The shipping is extremely fast, I got the guitar a whole day early. Definitely recommend!

Very nice guitar
Very nice guitar. Red I ordered it used but it arrived in perfect shape. This is good for me since I’m not an experienced guitarist. The accessories are good quality and the tone is good. I’m learning about the electric components. What does what. The amplifier isn’t going to be on stage performing nor am I but it’s good for me just to practice. I bought some headphones and can plug it into the amp if I need to be quiet. It’s easy for me to reach the fret board which is what I was looking for. I like knowing that I have the quality of a fender. Overall I really like it.

Included all that is advertised
I am giving 4 stars just because the gig bag is really low quality but everything else is as advertised, the guitar is pretty and the color is slightly brighter than the picture but I like it, and, for the price, has a good enough sound, the amplifier works really well, the cable is good quality, the picks are nice with 3 models, the strap is medium quality but it does the job. I am a beginner and have played it for 2 days, it is sturdy and I would recommend getting this bundle if you want to learn how to play the guitar. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great guitar, crappy amp
My son absolutely loves this guitar! He is a beginner, and this is easy for him to figure out. His only gripe is the amp that comes with it: it isn't very good. It likes to cut out while he is playing and requires a lot of fiddling to make it work.

Nice Guitar -- But Not What I Ordered
In the item photos, you can clearly see Affinity specs -- big 70s headstock with a gold letter logo and split shaft (very nice) tuners. The neck shows a skunk stripe, and a Squier neck plate. The bridge is a nice, upgraded 2-point tremolo. What was actually shipped is a Squier Debut in an apparently unreleased/unadvertised/maybe-limited color -- see photos (small headstock with outline logo), blank neck plate (cheaper), inexpensive 6-screw trem bridge, no skunk stripe, and a matte-finish body, rather than gloss. The photos and title are incorrect. BUT, I will say, the guitar looks good and feels good. It's set up pretty well, except for the intonation. The frets are well-polished, the neck is nice. I really like the satin/matte finish on the body. The guitar sounds good, tone-wise. It will need to be intonated, and I'll change the strings. The strings are pretty decent, but fresh strings for the intonation will be important. The gig bag is fine -- not worth the additional $30 to justify the price tag vs. the Debut Series (which this is). The amp is another story. It may be "OK" for young kids just starting out. It can be loud, but it doesn't sound very good, especially clean. I'd have preferred to get the guitar without the extras, because the extras are not good. It's very thin--both the amp build, and the audible tone. With a better amp, the guitar will shine, and it's better to learn on an amp that sounds good. I was expecting and hoping for the guitar in the pictures. I received a nice guitar, but I would have preferred to know what I was getting, and for the listing and pictures to be accurate. I also don't want this amp.
