PURE. WELL BALANCED. DELICIOUS.
I am a tropical fruit aficionado and, having traveled many times to Costa Rica -- the land of "Pura Vida" -- I knew I had to try this product. (In actuality, this is the second bottle of Jungle Pulp I have sampled, the first one being its mango puree offering.) 1- The aroma and fragrance are evident upon opening the attractive packaging. The taste is natural, sweet, well-balanced, and devoid of that artifical edge some purees out there that claim to be tropical always have. 2- The tart-to-sweetness-to-acidity ratio is satisfying and consistent with what would be expected from gourmet product sourced from Costa Rica's world-class fruit farms. 3- You can use this pulp for endless purposes, all a mere Google search away. Our family consumes it primarily as a "fresco natural" (a water-based drink that can accompany most cuisines) or as "helados" or "paletas" (ice pops). 4- When I tried the mango, I loved the thickness; it took me back to mango trees that grow out there. Very authentic. 5- I made a Margarita with it and it beats any mixer out there even though it is only a puree. Highly recommend. Look forward to trying other flavors. Enjoy!

Guava Puree
Used this to make Hawaiian Guava cake. It was fairly fresh, good concentrated form and mixes well for whipped cream frosting and cake mix. It’s a good substitute if you don’t have a guava tree in California. My hubby said it mixed well with sparkling water too. Might be good as a cocktail mixer. It does need to be refrigerated after opening.

Disappointed. Too sweet
I was hoping this would be more sour like the fruit. It’s very sweet.

(EDITED Yet Again - WAS the best mango I've found...
EDIT #3 - Last 2 bottles of this I ordered had expiration dates 3 months out where it should be closer to a year. And the bottle I received today is VERY DARK in color. I suspect I'll have to file a claim on this one. SAD!!! This stuff was pretty good but now that I'm getting old product, I'll have to find something else. EDIT #2 - after trying several other brands of mango puree, I am back to this product as being the best! Others are so weak that it takes 2-3 times the amount to achieve the same flavor. After working through an entire bottle of this, the flavor has grown on me. It's cheaper and more potent than other options. Once I figured this out, and used less per serving, it's become my favorite and I'm about to order more. Upgraded to 5 stars. EDIT #1 - this is much better mixed with other things, like lemonade - it tones down the earthiness and has a strong mango flavor. Might purchase again but am going to try another brand next. Will edit again if this turns out to be better. Original review - Tastes a bit like unripe mango - green - earthy - almost like there were some green leaves mixed in. While some people like that sort of thing, it's not my cup of tea! I was looking for a potent, sweet, ripe mango flavor - Like the BEST (brand) mango juice drink that tastes exactly like a ripe mango. This stuff is much thicker, more pulp like - as it's described but the flavor has a bitter/green/earthy aftertaste. Might work well in mixed drinks but my intent was for smoothies, lassi's, mango lemonade sorbet. I will use this up and try it in drinks and other things to see if I can find something it works better with, but will not be buying this brand again.

Jungle pulp
Tastes great. The only downfall for me is the amount of added sugar. The thickness is great and it seems to be a good value.

More SUGAR than fruit, watch out!!!
This “pulp” is way too much added SUGAR! It tastes like Sugar and not Guava! Serving size is 3 ounces and the sugar 70 grams ( 32 gr natural and 38 added, in 3 oz that’s crazy) and you can’t read the Nutrition Facts online so buyer be aware it’s crazy sweet and definitely not OK for diabetics or people with diabetic tendencies! It comes that way from Costa Rica marked as “GUAVA PULP”, no mention of the SUPER HIGH SUGAR! I won’t buy it again!!!

Delicious & Delightful!
Love this stuff! I mix w/water for drinking, but my favorite thing is to freeze in little cubes in a silicone tray to nibble frozen or add to smoothies 😄
