4143-08 Evaporator Cleaner, Gold, 1 gal

The item shipped very quickly, and it arrived in perfect condition. I have used this product on condenser coils that were subject to deposits of oil fog due to proximity to a deep fat fryer. The HD formula worked much better than the standard formula. It also removed deposits of tar and nicotine from air purifiers more quickly than any other product I tried before it.

Good for cleaning my air cleaners

I have used Nu-Calgon cleaner for 22 years to clean 6 Honeywell electronic air cleaners. To clean the filters I made a close fitting tank to allow the filter to be completely immersed while using a minimum volume of cleaner. Air cleaners are soaked for 10 minutes and then thoroughly rinsed with water. I've found that the solution can be reused for up to 4 cleanings; topping off the 1:5 mix, as needed to keep the tank full.I store the solution in a 5 gallon pail. The dirt in the solution will settle to the bottom of the pail. When filling the tank for the next use, I'll watch for the dirt to appear from the bottom of the pail and discard that remaining amount. Great stuff!

It cleans but does not clean black soot off of flat cells. I had to use a q-tip after. If you think this product does that - try a q-tip after the cleaning on the flat collector blades and find out! Does anyone know of a product that does this?? Much appreciated. (BTW - cleaning each flat cell with a wet Q-tip sucks!)

My HVAC man recommended this for cleaning my electronic air filter. I had previously cleaned the main cells of the electronic air filter in my dishwasher (as I was told to do), but the dishwasher detergent discolored & damaged the aluminum fins (which are $600 to replace). I wanted to be careful about the new cells I had installed. This stuff is easy (just dilute, spray on, wait 5-15 minutes & rinse) and does an amazing job. As soon as I sprayed it on, black gunk was coming off and draining away (I did this in my bathtub). My components are sparkling clean again. Thank you. My only complaint - it took 2 months to arrive (but that's a seller complaint, not a product one).

I bought these to clean my reusable electrostatic air filters. It cleaned the hell out of them, and everything else it dripped on - my driveway, my deck, etc. If you use this stuff, be careful what you get it on, because it'll probably leave a mark. It's strong stuff.

I had to dispose of this as it warns on the bottle not to use it on or around aluminum. That's what my collector plates are made of ! That warning should be in the product info. I am going back to my DAX cleaner as I know it works and doesn't eat the plates.
