Brooks Men’s Cascadia 17 Trail Running Shoe

Did several trail runnnig races on muddy, rocky technical conditions, including Ultra trail Fitz Roy in Patagónia ( 25- 44Km). Wide option is confy, did not get one blister. Handles well technical terrain uphill and downhill. Traction is good. Foot are well secure. Sole logs seems to last way more than speed goat 5. Upper sole is resistant with good enough toe protection. They dry fast after crossing several water crosses. It has not the heel cushing of Caldera 6, but Caldera did not have enough space in the toe box for me, nor the wide option either. Great trail running shoe.

Great fit and the front of the shoe is great for keeping your toes dry when walking through wet grass. I will be purchasing another pair of these. The only possible concern I might have is the last holes for the laces are a cloth loop so when you tighten your laces, it puts a lot of pressure on those loops. I can't use the hole that is 1/2 inch past those loops or they could not be over the tongue. If this loop wears or breaks, the shoe would not be able to be snugged up at all.

I have always been a big fan of this style of trail shoe with Brooks. Brooks shoes last a long time and really stand up to a lot of beating! These shoes are really comfortable and don't feel like you're wearing bricks on your feet. My arches feel supported, but you can always add in an insert if needed. Plus, the color of these is top notch! I hope that Brooks continues to have an option of really bright, obnoxious colors for us to choose from! Brooks shoes are about the standard price as far as athletic shoes go, but they do have great sales when the next years styles come out!

Awesome running shoe, looks great, did take a bit of time to break in. But, overall, really good!

As a man, I've never gotten a compliment on a pair of shoes from anyone, ever. I've now received about 8 different people tell me how much they like these shoes. It's almost made me self conscious about wearing them. Besides that, they fit great, just like every pair of Brooks I've ever owner.

I'm happier than a cat with an aquarium of goldfish to watch piruette with these Cascadia 18s!This is my second pair of Brooks trail hiking shoes, third set from the Seattle based shoe powerhouse, overall.I love how the Cascadias offer me a beefed up, well cushioned feel, but all in a lightweight build that both seizes attention and doesn't break my wallet.Multiple scores, across the board, for Brooks!!!

True to size. Great quality

One of the best looking shoe, mostly comfortable. Was roomy, but I'm not sure if mine had manufacturing defect or not, after about an hour wearing it, left pair started to put pressure on my nerve between toes, waited few days for shoe to break in, but didn't get better. Had to return.
