Great for Lego lovers who want a challenge
My son loves Legos but needed something a bit more challenging and this was perfect for him.

Don’t buy this.
Hardest thing I have ever tried to put together in my life. I have ordered this style of not real legos in the past and use they were hard to put together but not like this. The pieces were hard to find. Directions were terrible. The pieces were either extremely hard to put on or came off to easily. Don’t waste your money. We had to throw it away. My son cried. It just wouldn’t stay together. If you looked at it wrong it fell apart.

Too complex for beginners
I got this Mosasaur building set for my husband, who loves working on models and building with Legos. He was surprised by how long it took to assemble. He expected it to be a 3-hour project, but it ended up taking closer to 4 or 5 hours. On the plus side, experienced builders will appreciate the extended build time. On the downside, it might be too challenging for beginners. He had a lot of fun with it, though! The only hiccup was that he stayed up way later than planned because he wanted to finish it in one sitting. Still, the experience was overwhelmingly positive. He was especially impressed with the lights and the hand-crank-powered swimming movement. I love that, from one side, it’s just a normal history-lizard, but from the other, it’s a cyborg space creature.

So cool!
Very nice set to build with the kids, they loved it! It's a fun build, very detailed and with cool mechanical parts and lights as well.

Had a blast putting this together!
Our new obsession is building sets. They’re so easy to get lost in and put together for a couple hours. This one is particularly nice, as it has lights and has a moving function. The moving function does make it a bit harder to put together, but it’s not impossible. There were no missing pieces, though some pieces seemed loose or harder to put together than others, but it didn’t matter as the build still came out well. Highly recommend!

Started great but ultimately failed
My 11yo bought this set with their birthday money and while we were initially proud, we became quickly disappointed. Upon helping the kid build the kit, we discovered we're missing several bags worth of pieces. WHY AM I MISSING BAGS WORTH OF PIECES??? It's ridiculous. My 14yo corrected me and says the base assembly was compete but says that 2/3 of our kit is missing for the actual dino... Would not buy or recommend.
