Versatile, Reliable Smart Bulb With Excellent Automation and Color Control
This WiZ LED smart light bulb has been a great addition to my smart home setup and easily punches above its weight for a single-bulb solution. It’s packed with features that normally require more expensive ecosystems, yet it remains simple to set up and easy to live with day to day. Setup is straightforward. The bulb connects quickly through the WiZ app, and once it’s added, everything just works. Voice control is responsive and reliable, whether you’re using Alexa, Google Assistant, or another supported platform. Commands register quickly, and there’s no noticeable lag when turning the light on or off, changing colors, or adjusting brightness. The automation features are where this bulb really shines. Sunset-to-sunrise scheduling works exactly as advertised and is perfect for entryways, lamps, or rooms where you want lighting to feel natural and automatic. Motion detection integration adds another layer of convenience, making it ideal for hallways, bedrooms, or offices where hands-free lighting is useful. Once configured, it feels very “set it and forget it.” Color quality is excellent. The full-color range is vibrant and smooth, not washed out or harsh. Whites are clean and adjustable, from warm and cozy to cool and bright, which makes the bulb just as useful for task lighting as it is for ambient or accent lighting. At 800 lumens, it’s plenty bright for most indoor spaces, especially in lamps or ceiling fixtures. Matter compatibility is a big plus. It adds confidence that this bulb will remain usable across platforms and future smart home setups. That flexibility makes it feel like a safer long-term investment compared to bulbs locked into a single ecosystem. Reliability has been solid. The bulb stays connected, responds consistently, and doesn’t randomly drop offline, which is something cheaper smart bulbs often struggle with. The app is intuitive and gives you plenty of control without feeling cluttered or overwhelming. Overall, this WiZ smart bulb delivers excellent value. Strong automation, responsive voice control, good brightness, rich colors, and Matter support make it a very capable smart lighting option even as a single-bulb purchase. If you want smart lighting that works well without unnecessary complexity, this is an easy five-star choice.

Well done, easy to install and use!!!
These smart bulbs are so easy to install. Download the app you don’t even have to sign in you assigned them to your room rooms, you can control one at a time or all of them, per room. You can set timers, color changes, customize it however you want. And the set up happens in seconds. I had purchased some wyze bulbs hoping to use them with my Wyze security system and then realized I had to have Alexa after I received them in the mail. Saw WiZ Bulbs at Kroger, gave them a try, loved the simplicity and how cool they are, and bought more here on Amazon to control my entire home! I love them and will continue to buy them!!!!! if you’re looking for a great smart bulb option where you don’t have to have another device to operate them, this is your bulb

Don't mix Wiz lights from multiple manufacturers
Good lights (4.5 star), somewhat hampered by lackluster software (1 star off for now). First, make sure you order the same bulb model from the same manufacturer. I previously picked up two single-bulb packs of Wiz from another manufacturer at a local home improvement store after reading reviews here. What I didn't realize at the time is that there *are* multiple manufacturers for the same "Wiz" bulb. My primary use-case for these bulbs is the master bath vanity, which has 8 lights total (4 over each sink). I went ahead and put the 2 bulbs in the center fixtures on one side and set them up. When I received this 6-pack from Amazon, I add the other bulbs in. Don't get me wrong, it *works*, but you'll notice that the bulbs are different. They come on at different speeds, have slightly different colors at *some* levels/colors, and in general behave differently. You should *definitely* go ahead and buy all from one source. I've gone ahead and ordered another 6-pack. It's probably better to have 4 extra as future replacements. If you only have "enough" to cover your use-case, you'll likely end up in a situation where you can't get the same model bulb in a few years when you need a replacement. ^^^ No rating adjustment was made based on this. It's just a fact of life. The good news is that the bulbs I received from Amazon are better than the "name brand" Wiz bulbs I bought locally. They come on faster and more reliably from what I've seen so far. Now the bad news -- The app is a bit "weak". If you are just looking for simplicity, then it will be right up your ally. But there are just glaring holes for me purposes. Start with the fact that you'll need to create a group of the lights in order to control them all at one time. Great, no problem there. But once you put a light in a group, then there's no longer any way to control it individually. The "night light" mode is great for the middle of the night, but with 8 bulbs in the master bath, it's still a bit bright in the middle of the night. I wanted to create a scene with only the 2 "outside" bulbs on each vanity on, but this just doesn't appear to be possible with the Wiz v2 app. I don't think it was possible with the v1 app, but I migrated pretty quickly to v2 and there doesn't appear to be a way to go back. Once I migrated to v2, the v1 version simply exits on iOS. I could probably get around this with a full reinstall, but that's not worth it. On the bright side, I run Home Assistant for automation of other smart devices in my home, and Wiz integration with Home Assistant is pretty good. The Home Assistant page for Wiz Integration considers it to be at "platinum level" (the best possible). And Home Assistant can still control the lights individually even after grouping them, so I was able to set up a Home Assistant scene to turn the outside pair of lights to "night light", but have all the others "off". Brightness and colors seem good. I do wish they could slightly dimmer, but the three modes I plan to use the most work just fine: - True color: A nice warm setting that matches the bulbs that were previously in the fixtures. Great for morning. At some point, I might set up a slow transition so that the lights move from True Color to a brighter, cooler light over 10 minutes or so. - Daylight: The brightest, coolest setting. Great for cleaning or shaving. - Custom night-light as mentioned above If you're okay with it, the reds are a bit dimmer than the orange "night light", and also (obviously) should exclude the blues that disturb rest patterns at night. That said, red isn't a very "pleasant" light, even when dim.

Great purchase - need to download app to use
Great bulbs. Easy to set up and use. I have multiple around the house. Comes with an app that allows you to organize lamp styles and rooms types. I will continue to purchase.

Endless Malfunctions
I've had no end of frustration with these lights. Initially I was very pleased by the color, app control, and ease of setup. I liked the range of functions and integrations. So I ordered more than a dozen wiz lights of this and other varieties. But within a few months, the malfunctions started. And there seems to be no end in sight. Malfunction #1: I had just moved into a new house, and I wanted to re-sync the lights to connect them to a new router. Well, no matter which router network I connected to, I could not re-sync the lights to the app. I tried many hours of troubleshooting on my own, switching routers, every configuration I could think of. The Wiz app just didn't work. After more hours of troubleshooting with Wiz, they suggested I try syncing with the legacy Wiz app. That eventually fixed the issue. Clearly something is wrong if an old app can re-sync lights (only manually, one at a time, mind you, in a very slow process that takes 5 minutes per light), but cannot do so automatically or using the new, "better" app. But problems solved, eventually, right? Wrong. Malfunction #2: Only a week or so after this problem was solved, I had a new problem. Instead of starting in the setting configure by app, lights would initialize in a totally different setting - flashing randomly between different modes. The lights would eventually connect to the app, after about 5 minutes, after which they would behave properly. Clearly something was wrong. Eventually, one of the lights stopped connecting at all, and would cycle between modes endlessly, refusing to sync to the network or re-sync to the app. More hours of troubleshooting, more hoops to jump through - sending videos, removing from one fixture installing in another, taking videos, taking pictures. Eventually Wiz replaced the light. Malfunction #3: The next day, more lights start malfunctioning in a different fixture. And it seems to be a slightly different malfunction. Now the lights are stuck in the wrong mode and refuse to enter sync mode or connect to the network. Again, I am stuck in a never-ending set of requests from tech support to document the malfunction. Now I am left with a resigned expectation of endless hours spent in trouble-shooting a continuous series of failed bulbs, each one only temporarily solved with the delivery of a new short-lived replacement bulb. I'm now seeing more signs that other bulbs will fail. First there is a flicker as the bulbs are slow to initialize to the proper setting. Next wifi connectivity will be slow to establish. Then it will fail entirely. Finally, it will be impossible to re-sync the lights to the app, or even to get the lights into a sync setting. These bulbs just aren't any good. I don't know if it is the software or the hardware, and tech support doesn't seem to know either. Save yourself from my fate and find a more reliable bulb. EDIT: Malfunction #4: One of the lights is now strobing. This is a new issue in a different fixture with a different bulb. Perhaps some circuit is getting fried. Clearly the lights are prone to failure, whatever the cause. I should mention that I've still only had these lights a few months. Malfunction #5: While replacing the malfunctioning light from malfunction #4, another light started to strobe. My life is a never-ending cycle of Wiz tech support and product replacement. 6 of my original 12 A19 lights have now malfunctioned in just a few months.

Alexa, turn on the lights!
I love these bulbs! They were very simple to set up and the app is very user friendly. I love being able to change the brightness as well as the color. I have it set to automatically come on at dusk every day, and that is such a cool feature! You can also make it turn on when it detects motion, but I haven't used that setting. I was also able to connect the app to my Alexa device so I can control the lights by voice!

Smart, Bright, and Easy to Use!
I was honestly impressed by how easy it was to set up the WiZ LED Smart Light Bulb! I didn’t even need a hub just downloaded the app, screwed in the bulb, and it connected to my Wi-Fi in minutes but also connected to my ehco device. The color options are endless from warm white to cool daylight, plus tons of vibrant colors for different moods. It’s bright enough for everyday use but also perfect for setting a cozy vibe or party lighting. I love using the preset scenes (like “Relax” and “Focus”) and the scheduling feature so my lights turn on and off automatically. The value of the bulb and the use is stellar. I no longer needed to use my Pull turn on to access my light in my bedroom. One of the best features is the voice control it works flawlessly with Alexa and Google Assistant. I just say “Turn on the bedroom light” or “Dim the lights to 30%” and it listens immediately. For the price, this smart bulb adds a lot of convenience and personality to your space. If you're looking to upgrade your lighting game without spending a ton, this is it! I now buy these for everyone it my favorite smart device to use.
