Success depends on external factors
This is a difficult review to write because it effectively falls into two parts. There is the device itself. This, in fairness, is what drives my four star rating. The device is well made, robust, has a firm and stable head strap, good and comfortable padding and good lenses. So far, so good.If I consider the whole experience, however, my rating would be nearer to two stars, but that would probably be unfair because the use of this device is dependent upon external factors such as the phone used, and the supporting software (app). In my case I have an iPhone 12 mini (which is listed as one supported). The 12 mini is on the small side to fit well into the holder. It has to be approximately centred and the lid closed. The 12 mini is too small to reach the rubber supports at each side and the screen is therefore directly on the plastic. I would be concerned about scratching the screen over continued usage. The visual experience is also not good with this phone (rightly or wrongly I found it disappointing). The eyes so close to the screen allows the ‘screen structure’ to be easily seen as well as the image. I.e. it looks very ‘pixilated’ - imagine your nose a few centimetres from your TV screen. I find this distracting and difficult/tiring to watch. The other external factor is the software (app). This device does not come with its own supporting software and seems to rely on a (recommended) third party app. The Bluetooth ‘remote’ supplied with the device has four modes under android (player/game/cursor/mouse). Under IOS only the player mode is supported which makes the remote fairly worthless above start/stop, volume and next. Being a third party app, the usual trick of ‘in app purchases’ is employed such that with adverts and ‘upgrade’ pop-ups ever 30 seconds, to use the app in any meaningful way..yep!….you have to pay to ‘upgrade’ (read make it usable for anything). This is where the device deservedly loses a star. This should be supplied with a dedicated, free, full function app, as part of the device, (and not cheap price) as many other devices do. The instructions do point out that the IOS version of the remote app only has 25% of the function of the android version, but you only discover that after purchase. In conclusion, the satisfaction with this device depends very much on the quality of the phone and the operation system it uses. An up to date phone with a good, larger (OLED?) screen running android might make for a good experience if a dedicated, non-paying app were supplied. In my own case, after a few hours I put this device back in its box and I’m not sure when it will be used again - perhaps when I upgrade to a newer phone.

Games are crap
I bought this thinking it would work with Roblox and other games but instead it's just boring, cheap, cartoon games that can download. I am unable to return as 8 days out of my return window. Instead of buying this I'd recommend getting a more expensive one.
