The amazon item photo shows the English version but like others I received the German version. The board and cards only have letters and numbers on, so it is just the instruction pamphlet that is in German. The link that other reviews show requires an account on the associated web site. You can search for Mattel and the board game name and download the pdf rules without issue. These printed fine on my workplace colour printer. I have played the original game with 4 players and it is very good. This version includes a new variant that sounds even more fun.

A great game that has been very popular in our household this Christmas. All the players have their own treasure hunter to move around the board, but to win the game it's better to work as a team (or two 2 person teams). When the alternative is games like Monopoly (where you compete directly against your fellow players, and it's horrible to lose) it's really refreshing to find a game where you fight together against a common enemy (the ghosts). This game is a lot of fun, enjoyable, as players play together against the board, not against each other. Probably helps to speak German. A game could last for hours if you want to win, perfect for rainy days.

Bought this game after seeing comments about it on Boardgamegeek. Glad I read otehr reviews I knew to expect the German version to arrive...my son quite enjoyed running around shouting 'Geister Geister!' and English instructions were easy to find and print off. Only thing is, Santa wouldn't bring a game in German for kids for Northern Ireland so it's not one for the Christmas list. The basic play is easy to understand, starts off slow and gets pretty intense, we lost 3 times in a row before winning, so it's not too easy. Other ways to play will keep our interest. A tiny cart to collect the gems in would have been a nice touch, otherwise a great game suitable for all.

Just an update: the image may show an English language version but this is the German version of the game. It is, however, completely language independent - there is no text on the cards. You will need to download the English rulebook if you don't speak German. It was £14.99 when I bought it, so it's not too much of a hardship, but Amazon ought to make it clear.

Geister Geister is now one of my family's favourite games. The advanced game is nicely balanced and gets quite exciting. Good for children but also a fun game for adults too.

Love this game!!! Straightforward to set up and play and although how to win seemed easy it was challenging and super fun. The art work was very detailed, colorful, and drawn well. The included figurines were adorable and well crafted.

It's a beautiful and fun game but beware: game + instructions are in German. Rules can be found online. Also, sometimes the rules leave room for interpretation.

最近購入したばかりです。子供2人と大人2人の家族4人でいつも遊んでいます。4歳の長男は、マス目の駒運びにやや難はあるものの、ルールは完全に理解して楽しんでいます。協力ゲームなので家族でのコミュニケーションと団結力でいまのところ負けなし。毎回とても盛り上がります。ゲーム時間は基本ルールではゆうに30分はかかりますが、時間が経つのも忘れて大人でも熱中してしまいます。ゲーム終盤が特に盛り上がり、きわどい場面もありますが、意外にもクリアできているので小1の長女のリクエストで難易度の高い上級ルールで只今トライ中です。しかしあまりにも時間がかかりすぎるため、一旦休止して日を改めて続きをやる予定です。まだゲーム途中なのですが、時間が長引くと子供の集中力が途切れてゲームにしまりがなくなる為、上級ルールでは大人同士でやるのがベターかも。

Juego cooperativo excelente tanto en diseño como en materiales. Mi hijo de 6 y sus amigos lo disfrutan y os aseguro que no es fácil. Aunque pierdas sólo dan ganas de intentarlo de nuevo.
