When I saw ab-buddy advertised when looking at TRX suspension straps which are £200+ and which I have used in the gym, I was amazed at the price and wondered what the quality of product was going to be. I decided to take the risk and I'm glad I did, the quality is great. It's set up by placing the uppermost part of the straps, which have a retaining dowel sewed in to them, over a door by sliding them between the door and door frame and closing the door to lock them it place. Make sure to have the suspension straps on the outside face of the door that closes into the frame. If fixed to the inside face, the door could spring open when the straps are in use.In my case, the upper part of the strap, being heavy duty, was too thick to slip between the top of the door and it's frame as the gap was too small. BUT, fortunately behind the heavy duty top, which does not show in the picture as advertised, there is a thinner loop and I used this instead, which saved me trimming a thin slither off the top of the door. To retain the thinner loops and to give me the option of spacing the straps, I passed through them a longer than shoulder width piece of dowel rod, which held them securely in place when the door was shut. I have to say I am really impressed with these straps and there are many exercises for a whole body workout to view on You Tube. They also give me an alternative to tubes and bands, which I also use depending on what I want to achieve.
