I’m always wary about the speeds claimed by manufacturers and never have any expectations of reaching the speed claimed. That said this USB Drive is the fastest I have had to date. I recently reviewed a Fikwot 256GB USB Drive and the write speed was a lot slower than ones I bought in 2021, half the speed, in fact. I recently bought a Patriot Rage 250GB and was impressed by the write speed which was 4x the Fikwot. The fanxiang writes twice as fast as the new Patriot Rage. I’m deliberately not quoting the write speeds I am getting because so many reviews claim massively varying speeds but, as we all know, write speeds are heavily dependent on your hardware, specifically the USB port version (3.0 vs 2.0), the computer's chipset, and the quality of the flash drive itself. In my humble opinion, there are so many different configurations out there that it’s impossible to say what write speed you can expect to achieve. If I get more storage and faster write speeds then I’m happy.

I attach a few screenshots of the speeds I achieved with this USB Flash drive. Fastest was when connected to a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port. The two next fastest were when connected to a USB 4 port and a Thunderbolt 4 port on my Mac. The slowest was when connected to a USB 3.0 port.

This SSD usb stick has a very fast transfer rate. Average transfer of rate of 650 MB/s for movies. For MP3 music 550 MB/s. Feels solid. Impressive so I bought another. Formated to NTFS because that's what my TV's require.

Review Of: Fanxiang 512GB Dual Ended USB / USB-C Memory Stick The first thing I noticed about this stick is how heavy it is. It’s much heavier than a normal USB stick. Whilst it’s ideal to have a double ended USB stick that gives you the flexibility to use it in any PC/Laptop, the fact is that this is a portable item and because of its design, if you pop it in your pocket or bag, then the exposed end is going to get fluff and dust in it. It doesn’t come with a cover or a pouch so this may be something you’ll just need to keep in a drawer at home. In terms of data transfer it seems to work just fine. Plug it in and a little window pops up on your screen showing it’s available and ready to use. I’ve used it with Dell and HP laptops. The capacity is huge, so if you have hundreds of photos, this stick will easily store all of them.

Very Chunky but speedy

Increible producto. Rápido el envío y en perfecto estado. Las pruebas hablan por si solas. Velocidades anunciadas REALES en mi nuevo PC con usb-c 20 gb Lo mejor y más rápido que he tenido nunca... de momento se merece mis 5 estrellas. Efectivamente es un poco pesado, nada que ver con los usb convencionales, pero no olvidemos que es un ssd.

Surprisingly fast.

Versatile Awesome flash drive, love that it has both a USB-C plug and a USB-A plug which makes it versatile. USB-C for maximum speed, USB-A if a port for the former is not available. Build Quality Premium build quality with its metal shell (a nickel alloy I believe?), nice hinge that snaps at 90 degrees, and a rather significant heft for what it is. Fast It is fast as it says on the box (see picture of CrystalDisk benchmark), just be sure that it is connected to the correct port that is capable of supporting these speeds (20Gb/s on USB-C and 10Gb/s on USB-A) Real World Performance Transferred 13.9 GB of 23,637 Files, 2,578 Folders in one minute and eighteen seconds. For comparison, Samsung's T7 external SSD took two minutes and eleven seconds to transfer. The Samsung 990 Pro in my personal computer took fifty eight seconds to transfer for reference. Should be noted that items like videos or large individual files transfer *much* faster. The only thing that it's really missing are caps/covers for both plugs, rather criminal at this price point really. Simply awesome 🔥
