This works so well for propagation! Most of my dendrobium keikis (small off shoots from mother orchid) have failed after I transplant them. But within one week of putting the keiki in this terrarium, it made a new stalk and is also making tiny new leaves so fast! The fan does make some humming noise, which I have gotten used to and do not notice despite having it on my work desk. Lighting is perfect. I am able to mist the inside of the dome to add extra humidity for my plant as well. I'm excited to test out moving my tissue culture plants to this terrarium to help transition them into more mature plants in the future.

Not sure if it's me or the product so, I am giving it 3 stars, but my venus fly trap died and I don't think the fan worked on mine. I should have returned it but didn't realize it wasn't working?

This grow pod turned out to be an excellent setup for my Venus flytrap. I was really surprised by how quickly the plant adjusted and started growing inside this mini terrarium. Even though the system is compact, it’s very functional and provides everything a small carnivorous plant needs. The built-in grow light is brighter than I expected and has two settings, which is very helpful for plants with different light requirements. I usually keep it on the lower setting, and my flytrap has been opening new traps much faster than before. The fan also works great — it circulates air well and prevents the inside from overheating. It’s quiet but strong enough to keep the terrarium fresh. As for the container itself, the quality is very good. The dome fits securely, the plastic is clear and sturdy, and the whole system feels well-designed. The pod is also easy to assemble and comes with simple instructions, which is a big plus. I think this grow pod would make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves plants — especially carnivorous plants — whether they’re beginners or already have experience. My flytrap looks healthy, strong, and clearly enjoys being in this new environment. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this terrarium and definitely recommend it.

Great little propagation vessel for growing seeds or sprouting corms. I’ve bought four of these but the fan has died on 3 of them so far, so I have to open the lid and air out the plants and soil a few times a day. I was able to germinate venus fly trap seeds in it but it took a long time.

I wish I had known about these sooner. I've been growing Venus Fly Traps for my niece and I've had problem after problem. I either forget to water them, the California Summer heat has gotten them, and once rats ate them. We have cats that like to chew plants so I've always had to keep them out of sight which also puts them out of my sight which is why I forget to water them. Now, with this wonderful lighted terrarium we're keeping it on the bookshelf in the livingroom so we can watch it grow. My niece really likes having the ruler on it to keep track of how much it is growing each day, and they do grow extremely fast with the little grow light. It keeps the soil moist for a long time. I was having to water it every other day when I had it in the window and everyday when it was outside, but it's been in the terrarium for a week now and hasn't needed to be watered yet. I plan on buying more.
