I actually posted a full video review of this drum on my YouTube channel @jaytaiko TL;DW: this drum is a really solid option, especially for the price. It has a lot of premium features, like adjustable sensitivity, that work exactly as intended. All the settings are controlled on a mobile app, which the developer has been updating frequently. My favorite part is the elastic, bouncy feel of the drum face. I do wish that it were larger (for reference, arcade drums are ~45 cm diameter, while this one is ~25 cm), but it is still a reasonable size for this price point. Overall, I strongly recommend it. ** If you're a new player looking for a drum, stay away from the HORI! Spend a little extra money on this one. It is well worth it.

I started playing Taiko no Tatsujin with the HORI drum because all the other drum controller options at the time felt unrealistic for me to get at $200+. When I saw Jaymin’s review of the TDC10, I decided to give it a try as well. I’ve used the TDC10 with Drum ‘n Fun and Rhythm Festival, and I’m really enjoying it so far. The TDC10 is fairly portable and just a little bigger than the HORI. I think a larger drum might be more comfortable to use but this is great for smaller spaces. This drum is more sensitive and the skin is bouncier, so rolling on the TDC10 is much easier to do than on the HORI. The Rythmagica app is also easy to use and lets you navigate the game menus without pulling out another controller. You can adjust the overall sensitivity of the drum as well as the individual Dons and Kas here too. The TDC10 drum stand is the only part that I didn’t like as much. It isn’t attached to the drum itself like the HORI drum. Instead the two legs are aligned together and a long screw holds the stand together. I understand why it was designed this way for easy disassembly and fitting in the case that this drum comes with. I’m only planning on using it at home, so I ended up buying a low monitor vesa stand to attach the TDC10 to. Now the drum feels very sturdy, and I can easily change the height and angle depending on how I’m sitting. Customer service is also top notch! I emailed them because I had accidentally misaligned the wraps on my bachi. They were incredibly quick to reply and kindly offered to send me a complimentary set of sticks. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Rythmagica and look forward to their new Taiko accessories, like the larger TDC17 drum!

Absolutely wonderful controller, the silicone is super nice to drum on and it’s very responsive! Was able to set it up thanks to super quick customer service and now I can play taiko together with my mom :) The sticks that come with this drum are super comfortable as well, I really like them. Much better than the Hori controller, this one is way more sensitive so you don’t have to hit it crazy hard. Would recommend!!

Excellent budget drum! I played on the Switch Hori drum for a year or so, but decided to upgrade. The material on this one is great, and it's WAY more sensitive than the Hori drum. In fact, I almost find it to be a little too sensitive at times, and that's the only reason I'm deducting a star (I whack this thing pretty hard when songs get intense). However, it's very configurable with their app, so this can be overcome. I'll also note that the surface is great, and the included bachi are nice. You can really roll quite well on this thing. Good drum!

Definitely better than the Hori ones, but the software seems to be inconsistent. I feel you can plug them three times in the same computer and get three different experiences in matters of sensitivity and timing. I have been playing rhythm games for two decades and can easily tell this works... Weird. So I basically spend 10-15 min readjusting before playing, almost every time.

This is my first Taiko drum controller and it has been an absolute joy to use. Going from the keyboard to this makes the game much more fun and rewarding. Worked out of the box just fine, and some minor tweaks to sensitivity using the app have made it perfect for me. (It also worked flawlessly on my Linux desktop and also my Steam Deck without any extra setup!) If you are looking for a starter drum for Taiko, let this be the one!

This has to be one of the best drums on the market for cheap! While I was unboxing the bachi I found that one had a split near the top so later that day after playing I had contacted their custom support to see if I could get a replacement pair. The response was fast and I have been given two new pairs of bachi! Compared to the new hori drum with a 100$ price tag this one is far better for just a little bit more This company has an amazing future ahead of them with this amazing drum and their customer support!

I just got this tatacon, and I’m amazed by the playability. As a beginner, this is my first Tatacon, and it’s been perfect for learning and having fun. It comes with a very good case, which makes storing it easy and carrying it around super convenient. The VESA compatibility is a great bonus. If you have any issues with the grip of the bachi, wrap a bit of electrical tape at the end of the grip; it keeps it secure and prevents it from slipping.
