These work just as good as any other I have used
Like other optic cables from this brand, I like them and they work well. I like that this company includes a strain relief at the threaded end of the cable where most damage seems to occur. However, I do not like that they do not continue the threads all the way to the end of the cable. Sometimes sensors like this are used to detect two different sized parts. They may only be a few mm difference in size. For reliable readings, this will need to be mounted very close to the parts to be detected. This means (depending on the application) the sensor tip may be hit by those parts from time to time. That is where the extra threaded length is helpful as the nut can be mounted all the way to the end of the cable providing some extra protection. So it all depends on how you intend to use these. But if that is not an issue for you, they operate as they should so far. I would recommend them if they fit your project.
