Great value for your money. Works very well.
This little thing works so well, I'm very impressed. Bought it because my apartment stove is absolute garbage. I kind of wish I'd bought a 2-burner one now. Boils water crazy fast. The settings are very accurate. I do wish each setting had temps a little closer together -- I think there are 40 degrees between each setting. I think 20 would be better, that way you'd have more control over your temperature. The fan stays on for a couple minutes after you turn it off, which sometimes makes me think I forgot to turn it off, but that's probably just me being absent-minded. It does have an audible beep and auto shut-off if you take your pan off the hob. It doesn't cool down as fast as other induction hobs I've seen, but it does have an "H" indicator for while the surface is still hot, although within 60 seconds or so it's cooled down enough to touch (it'll be warm/hot, but not enough to burn you, just maybe a tad uncomfortable). This was very affordable and I really like it. Fairly easy to clean, I've been using it for a month or two now and there are a couple of spots on the surface that seem to be scratched maybe, as they don't come as clean as the rest of the unit. Be careful wiping the front panel while using the burner, as the touch panel is sensitive and I've accidentally turned it off many times just wiping off grease spatters. Great Value.

Nearly perfect?
Performance for price can't be beaten (much less expensive than other similar offerings). Haven't had it very long, so can't comment on how it lasts, yet. Works exactly as described - and way better than standard stovetop. Not, huge - doesn't take up too much space, but on the other hand, limited in pan (skillet) size - my usual (mebbe 11" ?) skillet is just a tad too big for the induction area, so the edges of pan surface tend not to heat too well, except via heat transferred from the center part of the pan that does get heated by the induction surface. Truly heats up *immediately* (not just in the overused marketing sense). Very easy to control heat setting - one sees immediate results, not like having to wait for a regular electric stovetop to heat up or cool down upon control change - and never knowing just when the new setting heat level is reached - none of that here. Not as much better than gas stove cooking, but also, none of the issues with burning a fossil fuel directly in your kitchen - if you're concerned about such things. All-in-all very much what i wanted and expected, except perhaps handling larger pans.

Fast and consistent temps. Does make noise.
An inexpensive way to try out the induction type of cooking, instead of purchasing the whole enchilada! Great for everything from poached eggs to sauces. Frying eggs in a fraction of time. This unit has an internal fan that runs when unit is working, so it’s not as quiet as gas or electric tops. We use a glass cleaner on the surface to keep it shiny and new looking. Wife was skeptical at first, but quickly warmed up to its speed and consistent cooking temps. Might have to do some saving for the 36” Replacement cook top. Be sure your pots and pans will work with induction!!

it works
Overall, it works okay. Pretty good, for the price. The adjustments/settings work well enough. The actual/active induction/heating area, as observed while using a thin steel pan, is pretty much a 5-6 inch circle. Not great, but okay as I mostly use induction-ready aluminum pans (that have a steel disk on the bottom) and conduct heat. Still usable otherwise, when using liquids or stirring often enough. The build/materials seem fine. Glass top, angled control panel/face. There is a faint but audibly high-pitched noise on standby, so I have to unplug the unit while not in use. There is no on/off rocker switch on the unit to cut power to it. (The unit uses 0.1W on standby, not too much but not nothing.) I measured the power usage with a watt-meter. Apparently, the maximum heating/power usage depends on the size of the pot used - using a smaller pot I only got up to 1500W, using a larger one up to 1700W. After using it for some time, and getting used to the power/temperature settings, I started using the timer. It works great, it stops the cooking after the preset time, as opposed to only beeping (like my old stove does).

You tell me
So compared to my normal stove top (which is like those metal spirals that get hot) this can boil the same pot of water in literally less than a quarter of the time and the heating is actually perfectly even. I'm so beyond impressed by the degree that you can dial in the temperature and the fact that minor spills landing on the heating element don't burn because it doesn't get hot except exactly where your pot/pan is making contact with the surface, you can even put your bare hand on it. It's so much easier to clean too and it looks nice on the kitchen counter. This has 100% replaced using my stove top except in scenario's where I need multiple burners. My one con though - and I would dock a star for it but frankly since I've never used an induction stove top before I don't know if this is just normal but there is a high pitched squealing noise from what I can only guess is like a super sonic vibration but I can only hear it when certain stainless steel lids are placed -just so- on the pot... so... I mean it's really an aweful noise but as long as I'm mindful of it and re-adjust the placement of the lid I can mitigate the sound so you tell me? I mean it would be enough to be a deal breaker and return if this unit wasn't so awesome in every other way and the fact that I can mitigate the issue... so simply due to my ignorance on these stove tops if this is just a normal thing I feel like I have to give 5 stars.... but if my unit is faulty then 4.

Perfect for cooking outside too.
When I fry burgers or ground beef, the grease gets everywhere so I got this for cooking it outside. I run a heavy extension cord from the garage and lay down a tarp and cook the beef on it. No smell in the house but it cooks fast and easy. When done, it wipes clean and it’s ready for the next use.
