Great value: easy set up, good quality, spacious, good ventilation, and dark!
We aren't big campers, but use a tent a few times per year. I had a 3 person tent from 20 years ago, that was just too small. My priorities were: 1. Affordable quality 2.Darkness 3. Ventilation 4. Easy set-up 5. Enough room for 4 people to be comfortable, with extra space for clothes, etc. 6. Room for an adult to stand up straight This tent hits all of those points. I'm very pleased with this tent! I considered getting the Coleman Skydome, but prefer having tent poles that are detached so I can repair or replace them if they are broken. I considered getting the Coleman Sundome without the dark technology, but am very happy with the darkness. You can still see without a flashlight inside the tent during the day, but I don't think it's too bright that it would keep you awake in the evening or wake you up in the morning. I considered getting the Skydome with a screen porch (but didn't want the attached poles) or the Coleman Carlsbad (but it was a pretty big price jump and I was concerned about the tent taking up too much ground space), but ultimately am really happy with the 6 person Sundome with dark technology. I highly recommend this tent!

DARKROOM is amazing!!! Review of 6 person tent
Absolutely in love with this tent!!! Size: the 6 person tent fit a queen size air mattress with several feet on either side. Very large inside. We are able to walk around in it easily. There are usually just 2 of us camping in it, but we still enjoy the size to be able to walk around, get changed, and stand up. Our previous 4 person tent did not allow for as much comfort. Weather proof: this tent was used during several thunderstorms and not a single drop of water got in. Very impressed with this Darkroom: absolutely amazing. The darkroom is the BEST part about this tent! It keeps the tent dark and cool in the morning. In our other tents, it would become extremely hot and bright by 6am. This tent allows you to sleep in just because you won’t be woken up right when the sun comes up (unless you open window). Love how dark and cool it remains throughout the day. I attached a photo of how dark it remains even at 2pm. Sturdiness & setup: the tent seems to be made of high quality materials and we feel very confident in the integrity of the tent. Feels very well constructed. Setup is just as simple as any other comparable tent. Nothing difficult. Overall: highly recommend, and I do recommend spending the extra few dollars for the DarkRoom. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

Stood up to strong storms
It has been 3 years since I bought this tent. We have camped a few times and never had any trouble with it and have been perfectly happy with it. But, the reality was that it hadn't been put to the test yet. I couldn't give a strong review from only experience under light or moderate conditions. All tents are good when it is relatively dry with little wind, etc. But, now I can verify that this is one tough tent! I don't give out praise lightly. My son and I camped on the shore of a rather large lake in mid-late August, 20-22. The first night about 9:30 the thunder started and the wind picked up. We moved our game and food into the tent. I knew strong thunderstorms were expected in the area. I was hoping they would glance or miss us as summer storms sometimes do. Nope. The whole time we were lying on our sleeping bags playing Yahtzee, the storm's intensity grew quickly. We kept looking at each other as crashes of lightning hit close and the wind was straining the tent around us. The whole time as the father I was working out the best contingency plans if the worst happened. I was sure it would. Mind you, we were on the east end of the lake. Our weather comes from the west. This lake is tucked between some pretty tall hills. So the wind is funneled. Sideways rain was driven by constant winds between 20-30 mph and gusts to about 35-45 mph. This lasted about 1/2 hour-hour. What's more our door, which doesn't have the direct rain fly cover, was facing the lake (for the view). When the storm ( that wasn't the end of the harsh weather, just the wind) passed, there was a slight seepage on the windward facing door wall to be dabbed up with a towel. The tent was entirely intact. To add, somewhere about 3 AM there was a torrential downpour that lasted at least a half hour, up to 1 1/2 hour. Not a drop inside. Folks, this was the kind of storm that all the locals were talking about and asking each other how much property damage they had incurred, when we went into town to have breakfast because the fire pit and all the wood was drenched. Now, I can honestly write a good review. The darkening features; compactness to small size when packed and ease of set up are great. But that tent will hold up in very tough storm conditions. You can hike out with confidence when you don't have a retreat option readily available. (I wilderness hike too)

solid tent. can get warm.
cons: not really enough interior hanging/hook points - there is only one at the apex. because of the black exterior, the walls heat up in warm sunny weather which radiates into the interior, so sleeping near a wall will cause you to heat up in the morning. pros: everything else. can pretty easily set up with one person, inside stays dark, roomy, plenty privacy. tip: get some serious tent stakes. the included ones won't be enough. the top rain cover will act like a sail so stakes that screw into the ground are not a bad idea. metal stakes that screw into the ground. not those plastic ones. deeper the better.

Avoid at all cost, tent collapsed on me and my kids during windy conditions (the poles snapped). All the tents around the camp site kept up.
