SOULWIT Replacement Headband Pad Kit for Sony WH-1000XM3 (WH1000XM3) Headphones, Easy DIY Installation (Silver)

This was a great replacement for the aging headband that has been around the world. It is a bit tricky to install perfectly, but once you get the hang of it and follow the instructions exactly, it works great.

Easy if not a little scary to install but the instructions are thorough and understandable, even if the translation is a little wonky. Cool thing is that it prepa the headcushion to be easier to replace the next time. Only wish there was a little more cushion

The SOULWIT Replacement Headband Pad Kit for Sony WH-1000XM3 (WH1000XM3) Headphones is a good, solid replacement for the original headband. Sony didn't do the consumers any favors with the way they installed the original headband. It is glued to the underlying metal headband and also has a bunch of small parts to hold it together. Fortunately, SOULWIT has simplified the replacement and it is really a superior solution to the padding for the headband than the Sony original. The SOULWIT kit comes with a strongly magnetized Phillips screwdriver and a plastic pry tool to remove the clips on the ends. It also comes with simplified replacement clips although it still uses the small screws to hold the plastic clips together. At least they found a way to eliminate one part on each end. The kit comes with highly detailed color(!) instructions that make the complete replacement process considerably easier. There is also a video but I didn't find it necessary with the excellent printed instructions. The actual upper and lower parts of the padding are quality parts and snap together instead of being held together with glue. Including a strongly magnetized screwdriver was a wise decision as the screws are tiny and not easy to reinstall and the kit screwdriver really helps. The overall finished kit is almost as neat as the original Sony headband. The very ends are not quite as detailed as the original as there is one less cover piece and the material does not do quite as good a job hiding all the mechanism as seen in the photo I attached. However, these are my "old" headphones and I didn't put too much effort into stretching the material and making a perfect fit. I am sure a better job could be done if I spent a little more time on it. However, I am quite satisfied with the result from this kit. It is a complete, well thought out and designed kit that comes with everything you need except a razor blade or scissors and is surprisingly easy to install once the old, glued on parts are removed.

This was a touch pricey but a solid replacement for my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones.Compared to the original OEM version, this version is similar. The base of the headband feels nearly identical, with the main difference being the top of it does not have as much cushion as the OEM. In this instance, it doesn't matter because your head doesn't touch the top.It comes with all the tools you need to replace it, which is a 10-step process. But don't worry, they include a colored instruction sheet showing every step.Overall, only time will tell how long it lasts. But it feels almost like the original.

In step 19 of the instruction manual, there seems to be a piece missing from the description - if you don't have the mating piece of the nameplate on the other side of the headband you won't be able to tighten the screw properly and you can accidentally strip the threads on the nameplate.

Not a perfect kit but a very good one for replacing the headband of these expensive Sony headphones. My Sony headphones is an older model so I was glad to see of this kit which fits the older ones. The hardest part is removing the old hardware on the sides. However, the instructions are very good and detailed. Always a pleasure to find. Anyway, once you remove the old clips, and you can even break the plastic ones coming off, you don't need them anymore. The only one you really still need is the clip with the Sony model name etched on it. You reuse only that part and everything else you need is included. You do have to damage the old stuff coming off, but if you do everything right, it doesn't matter because everything gets replaced. I have watchmaking tools which I used instead of the ones included in the kit, although the screwdriver included in the kit is pretty good because it is magnetic. So the screws stay in very well. Anyone with a modicum of mechanical ability should be able to follow directions on this kit and replace their padded headband!

I materiali sono ottimi, uguali se non qualcosina di meglio dei pezzi originali delle cuffie, la spugna è bella morbida e non dà fastidio.Procedura di montaggio era alquanto semplice ma ci è richiesto del tempo se si usa il foglio con le istruzioni che ti aiuta coi passaggi (circa 20 minuti).L'unica pecca leggera da come si vede nella foto è che la pelle non entra e rimane fuori e mi da un po' fastidio, anche perché penso che così col passare del tempo si rovina tramite sudore e attrito, ma spero di no.Molti sanno come me che a molti marchi piace incollare pezzi dove non c'è bisogno, ciò rende il riparo un po' una frustrazione, il che potrebbe portare al prodotto di rovinarsi quando si vuole cambiare/rimpiazzare un pezzo.Ma con questo prodotto quel fastidio non c'è più se ci si vuole cambiare di nuovo il pezzo dopo parecchi anni, praticamente ci sono dei clip che si attaccano da sotto e in sù ed è una buona "invenzione", il ché rende il montaggio e il rimpiazzo più facile e meno stressante. :)

Follow the instructions and,voila, renewed xm3s. Fitted the same make ear pads at the same time, and I really can recommend them. Back to their former, perished pu leather, glory. Happy.

Après de longues années de service, mon casque commençait à donner des signes de faiblesse et d'usure. Cette bande de remplacement s'est avérée être une solution parfaite pour redonner un coup de neuf à mon casque. L'installation de cette dernière se fait facilement en suivant la notice fournie. Les outils sont également fournis. La bande donne une impression de qualité; à voir sa résistance sur la durée !

Wer seinen XM3 häufig nutzt, wird irgendwann feststellen, dass das Polster am Kopfband nicht mehr so weich ist, oder das Kunstleder kaputt geht.. Ein Austausch ist von Sony nicht vorgesehen, daher muss man zwangsläufig auf Dritthersteller zurück greifen.Die Installation des neuen Polsters ist ein wenig aufwendiger, als gedacht, weil man das alte Polster zerschneiden muss und es zusätzlich noch verklebt ist. Der Einbau des Ersatzpolsters ist hingegen ohne Schere und Klebstoff, einfach nur durch aufklipsen gelöst. Zum sicheren Halt werden noch zwei Klammern seitlich verschraubt, fertig.Jeder Arbeitsschritt ist sehr gut bebildert auf der Anleitung.Echt gut, dass es solche Ersatzteile gibt.
