Drive good, deliver super poor
Hard drive super. The issue due to arrive x date, this was what I needed, the package arrived early, NO email to advise this, NO knock on the door, so was left outside for a few days in the rain.

Good solid HDD
Well packaged, good quality. Delivery time was a pain, but at least you know tha up front. It was packed well and is a good quality disk and has good reviews. As with all HDD, it would be nice to ship some screws with it, notably padded ones for thevibration. Luckily I had some

Noisy and slow to spin up
The spin up time on these 300 series drives is very slow about 6-7 seconds! Annoying if you want them to sleep which you will as they are are very loud. It's the same with the N300 nas model as well. I'm bought these to replace some 2013 Toshiba 3tb drives which were quiet with 600ms spin up times..

Drive failed after 4 month.

Excellent reliable product. Bought two 6TB Seagate HDD before both eventually failed while under warranty. Seagate actually replaced them both with a re-furbished models. Those drives also failed after the original warranty expired. I was not happy. I am now switched completely to Toshiba HDD. No drives failure so far and it is more quiet than the Seagate drives. Very happy with the purchase. I avoid Seagate like a plague now.

Doing a consistent 250-300 MB/s during a 2.5TB transfer of about 100,000 files. 512MB of cache. Apparently its an 8 platter helium filled drive, so that's 32MB cache per platter side which is good. Pricey but Toshiba have always made a good hard drive.

I installed this drive an hour ago ... i cant stand it already, ive seen the NOISY comments before buying and i dont mind a noisy drive while transfering datas, but this one constantly makes noisy on idle. i dont have indexing on or anything accessing it and every 5 seconds i can ear noisy come out of it, and the drive his buried at the bottom of a massive ProArt case ... driving me NUTS! ... Its not staying in there!
