Perfect gift for a puzzler
Best thing i got for my grandmother!!! She loves reading mysteries and doing puzzles so i got this for her for Christmas. I got yelled at for it cause there is no actual image of what the puzzle looks like due to it being a mystery puzzle combo. She thoroughly enjoyed doing the puzzle regardless of the complaining. Highly recommend to your puzzler friends.

Amazing Concept And FUN!
A friend told me about these murder mystery puzzles and I was just too intrigued not to order myself. I searched online and found this one for my first one. I love coffee. I love a good mystery. This is a challenge because you won’t see the finished picture to compare to as you’re working the puzzle! BUT, the puzzle is well made and sturdy. Good clean cuts. And bright colors to see well on each piece. The story makes you want to hurry and finish the puzzle to figure out the solution! I didn’t peek but there IS an answer solution to the mystery cleverly typed in the back of the booklet if you just can’t wait to know the answer. But I say take your time and work the puzzle! No spoiling the ending!!! ;) Very neat product. Fun for family to work together if you like or perfect on your own as well. I’ll be ordering more once I figure this one out!

Good puzzle, but we found the back story and clues a little weak.
My family really enjoyed this puzzle. I put it out on a table Thanksgiving Day. We had friends and family coming and going all day, but everyone stopped at the puzzle table to fit a few pieces and chat about what the murder clues could be, and the passionate puzzlers in our family couldn't be pulled away. With no picture to follow (it's not on the box) and the variety of images in the jigsaw, the puzzle is delightfully challenging. I would have given this puzzle five stars, but the background story provided in the puzzle pamphlet is 11 pages long, and most of my guests didn't want to spend that much time to learn the chain of events leading up to the murder. Also, even those of us who read the enclosed pamphlet, could not solve the murder mystery based on clues in the back story and the images in the completed puzzle. The solution provided in the box (you read it by holding it up to a mirror), is somewhat clever, but in our opinion, not all that well supported by the story and puzzle picture. But even given those drawbacks, we all said we'd try a mystery jigsaw again.

Good Mystery tests powers of observation.
Not too hard and not too easy. Interesting mystery and fun to try to solve. I did have a piece missing. Don't know if I lost it or if it was missing from the factory. Not a key piece and puzzle well worth doing even so.

Mediocre - easy fun puzzle, worthless waste of time “mystery"
I put together the puzzle first. It was 1,000 pcs and I got it done the same day. It was fun, but obviously not he most difficult thing I have seen. I would have given it a higher rating, but the story is garbage. I have done a number of mystery puzzles. I know they are not literary master pieces, but at least they are logical and minutely entertaining. This was boring. Felt like it was written by a child. The explanation is mind numbingly dumb. I would explain it all, but do not want to give it away. However, here are two examples on the same theme - why would anybody buy 6 lbs of coffee each time they go to a shop? Why would it be suspicious that the bags were not properly sealed when we are told they have been opened and closed by the person who bought them? (Trust me, it does not get better). So… buy for a quick entertaining puzzle, DO NOT expect an actual readable mystery.

High quality, fun without the picture to follow!
I loved this one! This is the 3rd mystery one I’ve done and was definitely my favorite. Easy to separate by color and pattern and then so fun to watch it all come together. The story was just a fun side thing, the real joy was putting together a puzzle without the picture. Highly recommend!

Great way to pass time in quarantine!
Unlike most jigsaw puzzles, you can't refer to the box cover for help putting it together. The picture you build is another mystery. You start by reading a super short story and the puzzle you assemble is the collection of evidence at the scene of a crime. Fully assembled, it will provide clues to supplement the plot of the story. It's a great conversation piece since we theorize as we build it. Once the puzzle is finished and everyone is betting on who did it, the outcome is provided at the back of the story booklet. It's kitschy, but the crime solution is printed in a mirror image - so have a mirror handy and be ready to look at your finished puzzle a little more closely! Even my daughter, who hates jigsaws loves these puzzles. We're working on our third!

Missing pieces cannot be replaced
I loved the idea of assembling blind with no picture aid! This did not dissapoint. Difficult, but doable. I've done many 1000 pc puzzles, with no pieces missing. This was the first. There were 4 pieces missing:( Worth the effort, story was kinda sappy, but when I called the manufacturing company to follow up with the missing pieces (which they recommend), the customer service dept. said that each puzzle is cut differently, and that wouldn't be possible. Rats, I would have traded with a puzzle buddy, but not as such. They said they would send me a new puzzle of the same, and I told them I already solved this one, would they be kind enough to send me another in the series? They would not. Company policy. As stated I've never had missing pieces before. I have lost faith in this company, and they would not get any more of my business, oh well, didn't seem to matter enough to them. It is a five star puzzle on many levels, but only 2 stars based on the outcome. This is the first "review" I've ever written.

We were really impressed with the puzzle. engrossed a family of five for some time... great Christmas tradition. the story requires one keen person willing to read it to the others... some family members happy to skip it... a bit long for their tastes... but it was a good mystery too... highly recommended...
