Wanted to add a bit of a lift to my jeep and this worked pretty good. Handling is pretty much unchanged and although I didn’t measure before I installed it I feel like it was more than 2.5 inches on my sport.

I purchased this kit about a month ago. I have put about a thousand miles on the lift kit. It has had a work out. Every thing from deep sand to high speed interstate driving. The kit has worked out exceptionally well. The ride is a little stiffer than the factory ride but it handles exceptionally well. The lift raised the jeep 2.5 inches. The install took about 6 hours. I raised it on jacks and Jack stands. The install was straight foward. The only problems were with removal of some of the nuts and bolts. Impact wrenches don't fit well in tight places laying on the floor. I followed the instructions and had no problems. On completion the jeep including the steering wheel did not need any adjustments. This is a nice kit at a great price.

Product is great for the value and highly recommend. Rough country has its bad reviews but works well and well made and packaged very professional for the most part. Rides well and does what it needs for minor off-roading. I recommend this product highly and also highly recommend getting it done but a professional unless you have to right equipment at home. Product was very easy to install at home but limited on space due to not the best equipment. Took about 6 hours in total to install and finally the product looks really good compared to the stock parts. 👍

Installed on wife's jeep wrangler. Made big difference in visual appearance. Did need to purchase the steering stabilizer seperate to fix "death wobble" that is common in lifted jeeps.

I like this product but I learned ALOT since installing it. Maybe some of what I learned can help you. First of all, the parts seem heavy duty and I like the ride of the N3 shocks. For the price of this lift I wont complain if I replace the shocks in a year or two. First, I did not disconnect the front drive shaft when I dropped the front axle. Some videos recommended it but I had no problem getting enough droop to install the springs with ease with no damage to the drive shaft boot. Second, I DID not install the front bump stops because I had 2" spacers on it before and there were no signs whatsoever that the bump stops ever made contact with the factory stops. Also, when I had the bump stumps installed with the RC 2" spacer kit I noticed that they held water which I didn't like. They have holes that allow water to sit on top of the spring Purch. When I removed them to install springs a ton of water came out that had been sitting on top of the spring Purch. Probably no big deal but I didn't like it. I do not take this Jeep off road and will not until its paid off. Its a mall crawler until then. Also, I recommend buying the RC adjustable control arms along with this kit because it will be impossible to get a correct alignment without them. SO turns out when you install this kit you move the front axle backwards throwing off the CASTER. The stock arms are not adjustable so adjustable arms are needed to push the axle forward (slightly like a 1/4") back to factory specs. ALSO very important, take measurements before you start. Get the factory caster and toe (watch YT videos) and adjust it back to spec after you install the kit. Take it to a true 4WD shop for the alignment. Also, understand this. IF you have any other JL model besides a Rubicon most likely you have 3.45 gears in the rear pumpkin. These are also known as mail truck gears. I chose not to go any larger than 33" tires on my JL even though I can fit 35" because the larger tires will delete 7 and 8th gear on the transmission. My 285-70-R17 look good IMO and I still hit all my gears. If I ever go 35's I will regear to a 4.10 or larger. Besides the track bar bolt, everything else is only torqued to 55 or 85 lbs so a cheap battery compact impact will serve you nicely. I hope this helps someone. Don't take my advice though, do your research and do what's best for you! Jeep wave
