Sennelier Oil Pastel Set, Metal,Wood, Multi, 120 Count (Pack of 1)

Hands down, the best oil pastels in the market. I'm a stickler for quality art materials. Some brands are better than others for certain things - a good name does not guarantee a good product... eg. Pebeo make great acrylic but mediocre gouache (Talens make the best gouache paints btw)... All good artist brands make oil pastels, but Sennelier are the master brand. Their coverage is much better (thus requiring less layers), they blend beautifully. I agree with one reviewer who said you should use cheaper pastels in the lower layers. I have a box of Van Gogh pastels (60) that I use for this purpose... but when the base has been laid out and the real work begins, the Sennelier pastels make all the difference.

Beautiful creamy colours as you'd expect -- but having them in a convenient box means you can easily take them outside to use, and the padded spacers keep colours much cleaner than any possible alternative. worth starting with this and replacing colours as needed

I am having the 72 HAIYA Chinese Sennelier dupes, but their is nothing better to have them for a full enjoyment of using them. At this low cost this summer from Blick supplies art store, whouah! It is worthy every Penny spent. Believe me, there are buttery but not as too oily than the new HAIYA selling on the recent American market since last year. As an artist, I need both of them and I am using the HAIYA for general useful, but I am using my Sennelier for delicate details or effects textures. Theirs colours are purest and some are lighter than HAIYA ones and the paper around are more useful quality with numbers written more readability. Nothing will beat Sennelier product even if I had four broken oil pastel. The wooden box is quite big and difficult to manage with hinges easy too broken unfortunately.

We finally opened…artist daughter said this is too beautiful to use. There is no limit to what I will pay for anything art related… she wanted the 72 count and I knew this count would brings tears of joy. Right on point. These will be used for 1st place artwork for another year art competition. Only the best will be used.
