Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was new to video doorbells, so I reviewed lots of video doorbell products online and bought another brand for my alley entrance to my condo. After a few weeks, I decided I wanted another for my front door but wanted to try a different brand and chose Aosu. I’m so glad I did! The Aosu is better in several ways: the picture is clear and gives me a wider view. I did not want to hard wire anydoorbells, so I chose models with a rechargeable battery, and the charge on this product’s battery lasts three times longer than the one I have at my alley entrance. Additionally, this model can use an SD card to record videos which means I don’t need to sign up for an icloud service. Lastly, the app is easy to install and has many helpful features. I plan on replacing the first video doorbell I bought with another Aosu, similar to this one soon. I’m very happy with the quality for the price I paid! . Highly recommend! I recently installed this AOSU video doorbell, and I’m honestly impressed with how well it works. The setup was extremely easy — it connected to my WiFi in just a few minutes, and the mounting process was straightforward. The camera quality is excellent. The video is clear during both day and night, and the wide-angle lens lets me see everything in front of my door. Motion detection is accurate without being overly sensitive, and the notifications come through quickly. I also love the design — it looks modern and clean, and the light ring around the button is bright enough for visitors to see at night. The app is user-friendly, and playback is smooth with no lag. Overall, this doorbell has been very reliable and provides great peace of mind. For the price, the performance is outstanding. Highly recommend!

Setup was straightforward, and the app is easy to navigate. I really like that it offers local storage, so I don’t have to rely on a subscription. The only area that could be improved is the notification speed—occasionally there’s a slight delay when someone approaches the door. It’s not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. I seriously can’t recommend AOSU cameras enough. After trying Blink (which was expensive, had terrible battery life, and the camera view honestly wasn’t good), switching to AOSU was the best decision I made. The video quality is amazing, the camera view is clear and wide, and the battery lasts way longer. Setup was simple, and everything just works the way it should. What really impressed me most was the customer support. Cora was incredibly helpful, and the entire AOSU team is super responsive and fast. You can tell they actually care about their customers, which is rare these days. I wasted money with Blink—AOSU is better, easier to use, and way more reliable. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This is hands down the best camera I’ve tried. 💯 Highly recommend! 👏

First off - I don’t enjoy giving low star reviews so I attempted to reach out to the seller 4 days ago expressing my concerns and have not heard back - so I will proceed with expressing them here and plan to return this item. First off I’ll start with the good… The price for this doorbell I think is pretty reasonable although a quick search of other video doorbells reveals that this price point is almost average nowadays. But I ended up going with this one because it claims to be head to toe view And has all these cool features and claims to not require a subscription and so on. So another positive is that the set up was pretty easy. That’s where the positives end for me. Now again I realize this isn’t a super expensive video doorbell camera, but I at least expect it to do what it says it’s going to do. While it claims to not require a subscription you basically need a subscription if you want to capture any video whatsoever of people coming up to your door unless you want to open the app and have it live streaming 24 hours a day and be looking at your phone 24 hours a day. So there’s that. I decided to try the free trial and see if it’s worth the subscription… Let me save you the suspense and trouble. It’s not worth the money. Half of the time maybe even more than half of the time it doesn’t even capture whatever motion is occurring outside of my front door. I get alerts all the time telling me there’s motion, but then there’s absolutely no recording whatsoever of whatever was causing that motion. So then what is the point? The video it does capture is very segmented. It doesn’t capture the entire length of interaction with the person coming up to your door. So for example, someone comes up to your door and drops off a package it might catch the person as they’re walking away, but completely misses a whole chunk of them coming up to your door putting the package down and anything else they may have done. I find this really troubling because the whole point is I want to be able to capture any suspicious activity outside of my door. Isn’t that the whole point? So I’m really disappointed with the delay in recording. Speaking of delay once you get an alert and you try to open the app to see what’s going on. It takes a while not super long, but it does take a little bit to actually get to the part where the video is open and you’re able to see what’s going on. Sometimes it shows a little snippet and it’ll show a person outside the door like just walking away and then when I open the video, it shows absolutely nothing so it’s like what happened to that person? There are so many issues as far as I’m concerned with the video recording aspect of this which is basically the whole point of this product. The other complaint I have is with the so-called package Detection they have a feature that is supposed to verbally state package detection or package pick up detected I guess if they think someone is picking up your package? But so far it seems like almost every time I come home and just open the door and go inside my house. The thing goes off and says package pick up detected package pick up detected. I have no idea what the basis is for deciding that a package has been picked up, but clearly it is faulty and incorrectly alerts you that a package has been detected and is being picked up. All in all, I don’t see the point of this doorbell camera and I would suggest to anyone thinking about purchasing this to look elsewhere.

I’ve been interested in a doorbell camera for quite sometime that was wireless. I purchased this AOSU Doorbell Camera and it is everything I was looking for. The picture is clear and has many features. Very easy to install. I purchased the AOSU Doorbell and received the package two days later the item was nicely packaged. I emptied the contents from the box and it came with a charging wire which I highly recommend charging the wireless doorbell before installing. While the doorbell was charging I went ahead and installed the AOSU app and it’s very user friendly. I turn the doorbell camera on and followed instructions to pair it with the app and it was fairly easy. I was then able to see that the camera was only charged at 68% and had a connection of 100% to my wifi. I went ahead and played around with the settings and paired the chime box with the doorbell and picked the sound I thought was the loudest. I went ahead and installed the mounting plate but I also purchased an angled mount since the entrance to my home does not face the front. I purchased an angle mount that was meant for other cameras but made sure the dimensions would work with the AOSU doorbell. I modified the mount by drilling four tiny holes on the angled mount and the AOSU doorbell fit right on.. Once the camera was fully charged I mounted the doorbell on the angled mount and tested it. To my surprise the video quality is very good. The doorbell circular light turns on when approached to be able to see it at night or during the day. The night vision is spectacular but I prefer color reason I turn on outside lights. A great feature is when the doorbell is activated the chime sounds off and my phone receives a call from doorbell to communicate with person at the door. That is just great. I also installed an 128Gb SD card to record activity and for no subscription needed. Overall, this was a great buy and highly recommend the AOSU wireless Doorbell Camera. AOSU has to be one of the best on the market! Update: After having to recharge the doorbell camera I moved on to find a solar panel to keep the doorbell charged without having to remove it every other week. I found the specs and purchased an AOSU 5w solar panel and I installed and connected to the doorbell camera. That's been over a month and now I haven't recharge the doorbell camera. It stays charged at 100% with solar panel absorbing sunlight most of the day. I did have to modify the dust cover seal on the doorbell to be able to close it and be able to insert the type c connector cable into the camera and it worked like a charm.

We bought this camera after a package was stolen from our front door and although the camera quality is great, unfortunately connectivity is very poor. Anytime we get an alert of any motion detection, it takes FOREVER to connect to the camera, sometimes prompting it to go from its 2K HD mode to its lower quality smooth mode for quicker access. We also have the camera set to a high sensitivity so that we can get alerted on the moment it detects motion but we have tested it out ourselves and we have stood in front of the camera for several seconds without detecting us and then us walking away and it finally detecting motion and by the time the camera gets checked there was no sign of us even standing in front of the camera the entire time. The camera is easy to set up, had no issues with connecting it to our wifi, it is sturdy and we have found that even at its highest sensitivity, it has a good battery life. We typically go about 3 weeks to a month until we are having to recharge it, which we like. The camera also has many setting features that would be great if detection actually was possible or immediate. It’s night vision is also good . Sound quality is great when finally connected to the camera but when it’s time talk to someone through it, unfortunately it is very laggy and sometimes very choppy. The camera also has it’s own cloud storage service but it is NOT required for use like some other cameras. I think this service would be great if the camera wasn’t so laggy to connect to. I will include that I ended up buying my dad a $30 camera that works just as good as this one without the connection lag it has. His camera instantly connects without any issues or lags. There are way cheaper cameras that will absolutely connect much faster than this one, with just about the same good quality of image. Overall, the functionality is good, connectivity is laggy at best, it has a great battery life and for the price, there are cheaper cameras with better connectivity than this one. The features on this camera would be awesome if you could actually connect to the camera upon notification. For these reasons I can only provide a 3 star rating.
