I lent my ipod to someone who then let it stay discharged for a couple months, which effectively killed the battery - no longer held a charge. I got the bright idea to get a battery case to see if that would work. It did! The ipod in question is an older one, 6th generation, and the case fits it exactly. And it works like a charm. I do distance running and listen to music. Earlier, the ipod would only work for maybe 15 minutes before dying. Now, with the battery case, it lasts for a 2.5 hour run and there is plenty of charge left over in the case, so it could go for even longer! The case is also nice as it protects the ipod. The design is also good as it's in two pieces, making it easy to put your ipod in and take it out. Additionally, it is not bulky. This was a much simpler solution than trying to get the battery replaced inside an older ipod. I have already recommended this to others who have a similar problem.

Pros- fits well, feels solid and well built it DOES work with iOS7 makes my iPod last for 2 days without recharging- I use it a lot at work. I am personally a fan of the soft rubbery feeling finish. Cons- as stated by other reviewers, the cord where the headphones plugs in is VERY small, going to be very few choices if the little cord that came with it breaks- and it really feels like it will, who knows- maybe it will prove me wrong the lock and volume buttons are a little harder to push because of the thickness of the case, but not enough that it matters to me, as I don't use them much Over all I give this case a 4, it is just what I was looking for

The "newer" style apple charging ports seem to wear out much faster than the older ones. But with this, you never have to wear out the one on your iPod. Instead, you wear out the port on the case. It takes the same cord, and not only do both the iPod and case charge at the same time, but you can also sync to your pc through the port in the case! So you never have to pull the case off, unlike some other cases I owned in the past, that would not allow iTunes sync through the case itself. This is the best charging case I have owned, will likely buy a second as backup in case they discontinue these.

my iPod Touch 7th gen battery was pretty bad. It would lose full charge within a day or so without even touching it. Got this to resolve that issue and it works well. The case feels really cheap. Like if you drop it on the ground, it feels like it'll just smash into pieces. The battery part does help out a bit so now it's usable. I only use my iPod Touch as an iPod. I don't get text messages or use Chrome or anything like that. It just plays music. Also, if you have an earplug jack that's not round, oddly shaped or somewhat larger than normal, it won't fit into the 3.5mm hole. Trying to find a good way to get my headphones to work with this case.

I am so thankful that I stumbled on this. As far as I know this is the only product of its kind. It’s so awesome being able to carry this iPod without an external battery attached to it. It’s thin and not bulky. Keeps a charge for hours or days depending on use. I use wireless headphones so I don’t have a problem with the earphone jack like others. But if I want to use wired headphones it come with the extension jack so there’s no problem. I had one minor annoyance happen once. The battery would keep turning itself off while I was playing music after about 2 minutes or so. I took everything apart shut down the iPod for a couple of minutes while I cleaned the connectors with alcohol. Let it dry. Put everything back and powered on. No issues since then. 10/10 would buy again! Update 6/21/24 - 8 months of almost daily use. This thing is still going strong. No issues whatsoever. If anything to complain about, you will notice that after fully charging your iPod it will turn itself off after a few minutes (maybe 15, I don’t know, I haven’t timed it). It’s a minor inconvenience to me. Still a worthy purchase.

Update: Found out no data through lightning cable is because you need to press the power button on the case to enable charging/data transfer. It does exactly what I want. It may not be perfect for all. I wanted a case and battery. It is all I care about. I don't see any data communication when connecting lightning cable through the case only unless you press the charging button. Stand is very flimsy and barely usable. Makes the ipod easier to hold. ipod by itself is too thin and slippery. Case gives good thickness and rubbery feel to add protection. Buttons harder to press, but easy enough to use. Only negative thing for me is I use the camera mostly with the ipod and it is harder to wipe the dust off the lens which is fine because it helps protect the lens from being scratched.

I've been longing to find one of these, for my new iTouch, thought i would never find one. But I did, and now I'm loving it. It gives me twice the life, which is maybe a good extra 6 hours of always being used - to just being on stand by, which gives me maybe two days with out have to recharge the case and the iPod itself. I do suggest using the original lightning cable that came with it, cause my cousin had used a Different 8 pin cable to charge his, and his cable was putting out more power to the case than intended. Causing his case to heat up, and essentially stop charging. That wasn't due to a bad case, but in other words this is an all around case. It's shock absorbent (dropping it from Head height). Great feel when holding it, doesn't feel like its going to slip out of your grip. I got it 2 days before the expected delivery. Which was very surprising. Overall this is a really good case, and battery pack. Haven't had any problems, or cons to it.

Dieses Case nutze ich auf Reisen und bin begeistert. Zur besseren Handhabung habe ich noch einen kleinen Haltering auf die Rückseite geklebt, ist aber geschmacksache. Ich bin begeistert! Gerne wieder!

Superb and adds at least 4 hours to the battery life. I use this professionally connected to a DJI Osmo. Adds life and reliability to an otherwise low powered Apple iPod. Works with the latest 2018 iOS.

Funkar väldigt bra. Laddar iPoden och batteriet under natten och laddningen räcker hela dagen. Perfect lösning för iPod älskare som inte vill köpa en ny för 6500:-. Batteriet är behagligt att beröra och fungerar väldigt bra som skal för iPoden.

It does the job I bought it for. It is powerfull. I never have to plug my IPod during the day. Very usefull. Good protection too: I fell in the pool but it kept my IPod dry for the short time I was in the water. Not the same for my phone.

Beim stundenlangen online Spielen am Wochenende kommt mein iPod Touch 5G nach ca. 6 Stunden außer Puste (< 20% Restladung). - Kein Problem. Da wird einfach eine Powerbank per Kabel angeschlossen. Aber 2 lose mit einem Kabel gekoppelte Geräte - das ist ein wenig unhandlich. Und anschließend hat man 2 Geräte, die man wieder aufladen muss - die Powerbank und den iPod. Die Kombination einer Schutzhülle mit integrierter Powerbank hat mich daher gleich angesprochen. Lieferung und Preis waren ok. Auf den integrierten Standhalter könnte ich verzichten. Der arretiert nämlich - zumindest bei mir - nicht im Gehäuse, klappt selbstständig heraus und stört so beim Halten des Geräts. (Vielleicht klebe ich ihn noch mit Tesafilm am Gehäuse fest.) Und der Kopfhöreranschluss ist so tief in der Hülle, dass man mit einem normalen Klinkenstecker nicht mehr herankommt. Aber ein passendes Adapterkabel wird mitgeliefert. Und ich benutze den Kopfhöreranschluss sowieso nicht. Sehr gut gefällt mir, dass man die Powerbank separat aktivieren kann. Die Hülle wird nämlich bei der Nutzung als Powerbank warm, manchmal sogar sehr warm aber noch nicht heiß. Vor allem wenn man während des Wiederaufladens weiter mit dem iPod arbeitet. Und mir gefällt auch, dass man beide Geräte - den iPod in der Hülle und die Powerbank/Hülle - auf einmal laden kann. Das mache ich dann über Nacht, wenn ich beide Geräte nicht brauche. Nach ein paar Tagen kann ich sagen, mit einem voll geladenen iPod und einer voll geladenen Hülle komme ich nun auch bei intensiver Nutzung locker über den Tag. Während des Tages habe den iPod bis zu zweimal auf 20% Restladung heruntergebracht, und jeweils wieder mit der Hülle auf 100% aufgeladen. Dafür gibt es von mir eigentlich 5 Sterne, und nur wegen des nicht gut verarbeiteten Ständers einen Stern Abzug. Der geht mir schon gewaltig auf den Keks. Vielleicht überdenkt der Hersteller ja noch einmal dessen Design.
