You will need to buy some special tools. This was a 7 out of 10 on difficult level. Overall it was alot of fun. This was my first metal puzzle and I made a few mistake but overall I think it turned out good for my likings.

NOT for kids. This is a puzzle meant for adults with lots of patients and I would not recommend this for beginners. The pieces are super small and some tools are recommended prior to diving in. Luckily, my husband is REALLY into these type of model puzzles and loves tinkering with these type of things. He can throw these together in a couple of hours making it look like a cake walk while mine end up with tiny lost pieces somewhere in the carpet and the rest half assembled in the garbage just before I go plop down in front of the TV with a huge glass of wine. Quality wise, the pieces are pretty fragile, but once it all comes together it seems pretty solid as a unit.

Puzzles details are surprisingly better than I thought they would be. Packed and shipping at lightning speed. Recommend for parents and their kids for family time.

Very fun model with good instructions.

I bought this because I love doing wood model puzzles and although those can have small pieces, this was entirely way too small in my opinion and hard to "cut" out the pieces from the board. Also, it is very flexible and you must make rounded pieces which are very hard to make symmetrical.

So I recently got into modeling.....started on some cheaper wooden ones, spread over into Metal Earth, and, on learning Piececool and Metal Earth are, effectively, the same thing.....decided to give this one a try to make for a friend who recently got into gunsmithing. It is a very nice piece and, as long as you are meticulous and follow the directions.....it will come out nicely. So long as you have experience with these things, have more tools on hand than just some snips and tweezers, and are very careful; the end result is "as pictured", effectively. I would like to mention some things. One, while this kit runs higher than a lot of standard Metal Earth models, it takes MUCH longer and is MUCH more detailed than you would expect to see from a Metal Earth model. I was 30+ pieces in and I was still making the "scope". If I counted every single piece (screws and bolts included) in the actual rifle, it likely wouldn't even come close to this. It was a challenge; but an absolute pleasure to build. Two, it is LARGE. I was expecting it because I read the specs; but, the AWM rifle model is a good three to four times larger than any standard Metal Earth model I've done. Just be aware. Finally, the difficulty on the box shows 2 stars. Don't let that mislead you. This is not a model for newcomers. If you are curious, do a few easier Metal Earth models (the Lighthouse and Chrysler Building ones are pretty good starters). I have a big kit of tools I use and I had to rely on the run of it to finish this AND have it look nice enough for a gift. It also used every trick of the trade I've learned up to this point. It's not "professional grade"......but I think it looks pretty good. Still, this was strong enough for make me willing to buy others. The extra care to the packaging also makes them far less likely to get mauled in shipping (which is constant fear I have with Metal Earth). All in all, if you enjoy Metal Earth and want something that gives you "more" for the price....these are a no brainer. This felt like a real quality kit to me......like I've moved up into the "big leagues".

This is a great sheet metal model that comes with clear instructions. It looks like it's of a good quality build and I originally ordered this for myself to do in my spare time, but I think the pieces might be too fiddly for a 50 year old so I'll be giving this to my nephew, and I already know he'll get right into this. The packaging and quality of all the components are excellent so it will make a great gift. All you need is a pair of cutters - no gluing or soldering. Can't wait to see the finished product.
