£25 well spent
Unlike many reviewers of this product I have years of experience epilating, so I'm hoping I can clear up some of the bad stuff people have posted. Anyway, my Braun silk was knocking on, & the battery failing, so I thought I'd go for a straight replacement. But the nag for me is the price & the "Braun bite" caused by the stupid "safety" cover over the rollers, I used to leave it off "dangerous me"! So when I saw this cheapo, with not too many bells & whistles, & free returns with Prime, it was a no brainer. Now I've only used it a couple of times, so obviously I cannot comment on it's longevity. But the first was a full body job, excepting under arms & the crown jewels (not that brave or stupid). Nor obviously the face. My findings - Very powerful motor, far more so than the Braun when new. This resulted in a less painful experience. If you do not like/or cannot tolerate pain why are you thinking of buying an epilator? Take no notice of how many nippers this little devil has, it's its speed that makes the difference, also the width of the rollers is comparable to the Braun silk, which means you cover the same amount of area in one pass. Also consider I'm a guy, so need it to give a good tug. If you are of a downy disposition then use speed 1, & it will be more effective. You can use this epilator as cordless, or with the recharging lead (mine came with a UK 3 pin plug) connected to any plug socket around your home. I found the battery life to be very good, but again I don't know the quality of the battery in the unit. I like the grip, it feels much more comfortable & secure in my hand than the Braun does. Finally, its effectiveness - No, it will not pull out all of your hair in one pass, & you will not find an epilator on the market that will! Your hair does not grow uniformly, so you WILL need to pass over some hairs a few times at different angles to tweeze them out. It takes time to do a proper job, & unfortunately the longer it takes the more torture you will put yourself through. As for observations on other reviews - "Noisy" - WTF - it's powerful, you should expect it to make a bit of a din! & I personally don't find it noisy. "Gets hot" - that was not my experience, & I used it long & hard the first time. "Not waterproof" - Who in there right mind wants to use it in the shower/bath? Find a nice comfortable spot around the house with decent light (so you can monitor your progress), put a towel down & get it done. "It hurts" - of course it does, it's an instrument of torture! Don't be swayed by your mate, they all make you wince. "Can't be used on bikini line" - yes it can, but as with all epilators don't use it before getting dressed to go out. Do your mowing & then slip on your jimmy jams. Hope this helps..............

Best epilator ever!
I was nervous about buying this epilator because I hadn't heard of the brand, but what a great surprise. It's so much better than my previous one (a Braun Silk epil) which had lasted me over ten years and so didn't owe me anything, but prices have zoomed up. This little gadget is so much better than the Braun one- it really does remove all my leg hair in one go, whereas before I wasn't left completely smooth to the touch. The little light is handy to show any fair hairs you might miss. The battery has never failed - it lasts over 30 minutes, although I don't mind sitting near a plug anyway. I get no angry red bumps (like a plucked chicken!) after using this epilator and as the price is so affordable I'm a big fan.

Worked surprisingly well.
I decided to try epilating after the frustration over buying disposable razor after disposable razor. When I searched for an epilator on amazon, many were outwith my budget, so I decided to try this one, at a far lower price. It works very efficiently, with two speed settings and two different heads - one for shaving and one for epilating. I used the epilator on my legs and underarms and the shaver on my bikini line. Both functions worked far better than a razor (or the times I'd dabbled in waxing). The two main complaints I saw in the reviews were that it hurt and that the battery stopped working. Personally, I found the epilator to be less painful than a leg wax, it just feels tingly. In regards to the battery, I haven't had it long enough to make any observation, but I think it is important to fully charge it before use (there is a light indicator to tell you when the device is charged). The device also works when plugged into the wall. Overall, I was very impressed. Some epilators on this site cost £70-£100+ and to be totally honest I'm not sure what features they have that would make them so much more expensive. This does a great job and leaves your skin super smooth.

Epilator decent; shaver dangerous!
As other reviewers have commented: the shaver nicks and cuts badly. Having tried it twice - once on legs once on underarms (and with the latter had a "scalded" "top layers of skin removed" thing going for 2 days) I will not use that function again! The Epilator works reasonably well. I like that the design is light and easy to hold. I didn't find it overly noisy although the noise does grate after a while, so did my old one. I didn't find the light added much - you still need to use in excellent natural light to see what you're doing. For the price, if you are looking for a reasonable epilator this one is fine but don't buy it for the shaver function! I will buy a separate shaver.
